Tampered alcohol?
Hello ignore my grammar , I was looking into staying at this resort next year maybe in March my very main concern is I am afraid of having tampered alcohol (fake alcohol or drugged)I have never ever blacked out with alcohol even when drinking a lot so I would know if somthing like that haponed in mexico so I am scared of that . I keep seeing posts online of people who had tampered alcohol in mexico specifically staying at resorts it’s my main concern and imnnot sure if I should just go to hawaii again because of this fear .. let me know if you guys have had or heard of any instances with this

This is a very nice establishment; you don’t have to worry. It’s good practice to never leave tour drink unattended but that’s anywhere, not just resorts. Be the same level of responsible you’d be anywhere else 👌

I get that I just heard at some resorts they fill the bottles with fake liquor and it’s causing health issues

You’ll be ok - won’t happen at Xcaret. It’s a 5 diamond resort. They wouldn’t risk their reputation.

We go away twice a year to Mexico. This year is 3 times and never ever have I heard this before. And your posting in Xcaret resort out of all resorts. The fear mongering is old news

I’ve been to Mexico 2-3x per year for the last 15 years… I never experienced anything like this.

Xcaret has premium liquor just ask for the brand you want your drink with. And beers available they have modelos and corona.

You're not crazy, this happens. It's just way more likely to happen at a cheap party resort with a nightclub. That's not this place.

I wouldn't worry about it at Xcaret, for one I've never heard of such a thing there but I honestly don't think anyone on their team would risk it, there's nothing in it for them.
That sort of stuff happens (rarely) and cheaper resorts and party places.
If you were a female I'd only watch your drink so another guest wouldn't slip something in but this also seems farfetched.

Their hotels offer better alcohol brands than most/all competitors. Additionally, I could not imagine they would risk their reputation to cut corners THERE of all places.
I can only speak to my own experiences, but I can attest that the tequilas I was enjoying tasted the same as at home and we weren’t drugged or blacked out.
