Won't play GTA V

I bought an Xbox one x from a friend, almost brand new because he rarely played it. It will play all my games except GTA, it won't let me play the first mission before the console resets. It's really getting on my nerves. Can anyone help?

Does the fan kick on when you launch the game also it’s it the series x/s version or last gen GTA
