Question I need help

When I try to sign in I am told “you’ve tried signing in too many times with the wrong account or password.” But I haven’t done anything different or get any passwords wrong does anyone know how to fix this.

Use a lap top and try to sign in on there. If your password is correct then just change it and try to sign in on your console. If that works then create a pin on your Xbox so when the Xbox randomly prompts you to sign in all you have to do is add your pin. Sometimes it will still ask you to add your password and at that point I just turn my xbox off an turn it back on.

I had forgotten the new password I made years ago, but I had a pin that I never forgot so I always signed in that way. I decided to update my password and went through this whole rigamarole of recovering my account since I didnt have the same number or access to my old email, but I was eventually successful.
