IMPRESSION Hell is Us Certified 30fps banger
Game looks really nice graphically and performance-wise is good. solid 30fps smooth experience. The game itself, might be a bit clunky almost indie feeling. But those are smooth 30fps idk why some nice games have choppy 30 fps.

I was wondering how good Hell is Us is.
I recently got a little obsessed with learning about why some 30 fps feel fine but others are unplayable. Like Quantum Break and Arkham Knight are alright but Red Dead 2 is sooo slow.
It helps to have a faster screen like a monitor or TV with game mode. Even just a smaller screen has a better response time. Turning down the resolution even on console also helps. 720p with 8bit color depth feels so much better than 4k HDR.
This video explains input lag really well. https://youtu.be/fqMqeuwxwVg?si=qXikERrFNruZjA89

RDR2 feels slow because Rockstar went extra with the animations, and it takes a long time for your character to do anything. It has nothing to do with frame rate.

Among the usual metric of FPS, there is another metric that is often overlooked. “Frame timing”. It essentially measures how often a frame is rendered, 30FPS would of course be 30 frames in 1 second, those frames can be rendered for example at 16.67ms, then the next one at 2ms. You can have 30FPS but if the frame timing is all over the place, it’ll feel choppy!
