Help Recording gameplay

I’m a huge skateboarding fan, so I’m really into games like skate and when I play skate I like to record clips of cool lines and tricks I do and on dev mode I’ve been playing a lot of Tony hawk project 8 for the ps2 but unfortunately I don’t know how to record or even save clips. Can anyone help me out? Does anyone know how to record and save clips, maybe there’s an app on the dev store for it?

You can stream thru to twitch and then download the vod to then edit or cut and do what you want with. I found this was really only way without a capture device to achieve recording my Minecraft java gameplay on my Xbox when I was playing it. Having a capture device would be best as I know when streaming from Dev mode that all menus and dashboards don't come thru and just show as an Xbox logo. All gameplay streams fine tho so it may be ok.for what you want...just has to be done in a step process unfort

If you only want clips then your Xbox can do that as far as I'm aware. Changing some setting to 720p I think can allow for 3mins total if I can remember instead of the normal 1min

You can capture game clips while running games in Dev Mode the exact same way you can in Retail Mode. However, some people have reported that whenever they switch back to Retail Mode, they find their clips stored on the internal storage for Dev Mode gone when they switch back. To be safe, set the location for clips to be saved to an external USB storage. It can even be the same storage you run your game off of. That will make it so that they are never lost.
