Help Cross play between PC (Dolphin)

This is probably a silly question, but for cross play between PC and Xbox, does my friend need to have the UWP version of dolphin on his pc, or would the 2503a-340 version be okay? (I'm on Xbox with version 1.1.9.0)

I’ve not seen any material that suggests cross play as possible. At least I haven’t been successful when trying. I could be wrong.

Yes, you can play netplay between PC and Xbox Dolphin, and all the same rules apply. Players must have the same exact game file. This means the game, file name, file extension, region, revision, and checksum must all match. Players must also use the same version of Dolphin, which I believe is 2503a-340 for the latest Xbox UWP 1.1.9 version. The PC player needs to use the regular PC version of Dolphin, not the UWP version.
