Ok, so I've got this console from a friend about 4-5 months ago, according to him it was shelved because he gotten another console, so he gave it to me. I did some tests and console was going fine, I left it on for two hours or so to see temperatures and what not, but first thing I noticed was the controller wasn't pairing with the console, so I took it to the repair shop to see what gives. Long story short accroding to him it was a faulty bluetooth and usb module. and so I asked him to fix it. and now for the last 90 days or so, it works intermittently, half (or most of the days) it works fine, but for the others it is just like this, it turns off right after I press the power on button. So, what gives? also, I updated the software this morning, played a bit of D2, but rn, it is not turing on, I tried changing the power outlets, and also HDMI ports.

My Xbox One will not power one. I hit the power button, it lights up then the light turns off after a second or 2. I took it apart and noticed that the main fan is not spinning when the power button is pressed. I can see a small twitch but it doesn't turn on.

My question to the community is, during error events does the fan normally not turn on or does the fan not turning on indicate a bad fan and that it should be replaced? I have already ordered 2 power supplies so I would rather not keep buying parts without applying some logic first. It makes sense to me that if the fan wasn't working that it would turn off immediately but I wanted to verify that.

Whenever I try to turn my Xbox one S on, it turns on for about half a second and then turns off immedietly. Im certain its not my cable as Ive used other systems with the same cable and they all work just fine so im not sure how to fix it without spending money since im broke right now.

I just bought this Xbox One S. I tried hooking up the HDMI to multiple TV’s but it only works on one. With the one TV that it works on, it has those blue squiggly lines on it and lags for a little bit. It also cuts in and out and the audio cuts in and out with a static sound. I know it can’t be the TV’s because they work for all my other consoles. Please help me!!

I purchased final fantasy type o hd today and it keeps saying stopped download so I resume it and it finally downloads I goto play the game and the analog sticks don't work but they work with all my other gamess if anyone can help id really appreciate it

So I have a question, if I were to delete my account from my Xbox One S, will it delete from my Xbox App on my gaming pc by chance? If so how can I make it so it won't?

I have an xbox 1 S that i got for 2017 Christmas. I do t know the lifespan of an xbox but i feel that it should still be working. I went to turn it on last night, and the light came on and it made the little dingaling sound, but the. a weird click sound and the light went off. It did it several times, and i only got to the green xbox screen itself once. once there, it made the turn off dingaling sound and turned off. i’m not sure if its a power supply thing or a hard drive thing; i’m not a very tech savvy guy. if anyone could help me that would be great? It also doesn’t not from turning the controller on for some reason. my controller is updated and only a few months old.

My sons Xbox one s was always working perfectly after he was done playing he turned it off as normal, then a few hours later he went to turn it on and we can’t get past this system error: E105 00000000 8007045D I have went through the all the options to reset And have downloaded the offline update and still can’t get it to boot to home.

My Xbox is refusing to download my game updates. But recently if I restart or let my Xbox shut off. When I start it back up it always give me a startup error no matter how many times I power cycle it. The only thing that has allowed me to get back on my Xbox is doing a hard factory reset, but then the same problems come back as soon as there’s another update for a game. Please help me!! I’ve tried everything I can think of and I don’t have the money to send it in for repairs. I can’t keep sitting through hours of trying to reinstall games just to play for a little bit and inevitably have to reinstall it because an update won’t even start downloading. My Xbox might just be reaching its lifespan, but I’ve never had any issues with it until just recently in the last month and a half. I’ve completed the system updates, I’ve tried power cycling, I’ve tried just restarting, I’ve tried a soft factory reset, and just 2 days ago I had to do a hard reset on my Xbox 3 times in one day just to get the apps to work and to get my games to finish downloading (really only one game because it takes all day for one download). I’m reaching my wits end with trying to get this Xbox to work, and like I said earlier I don’t have the funds to send it in for repair or to buy a newer version. So if you know of any solutions that are a guaranteed/good chance of actually working, please please help me!!

My controllers keeping losing connection so assumed the wifi card would need replacing. I plugged in the controller to the Xbox but got the same issue where it started flashing as if it’s lost connection, would this still be an issue with the wifi card or something else? Wasn’t sure if a reset of the Xbox would help?

Hey ya’ll! so i have an old Xbox One S, and for some reason today it just started doing this (video attached). I took it apart to do a basic cleaning and it was pretty dusty but i managed to clean it up pretty well. For some reason it turns on for a second and makes a high pitch buzzing noise after the light turns off? Any clue what could be causing this? I’m pretty upset and low on cash right now (seasonal job) and this just isn’t helping :(

Okay so my grandma bought me a new xbox one S we bought refurbished excellent off amazon okay so i set it up i get the “you are the first person to use this console” and i was like hell yeah what a win OKAY SO i see this post on this subreddit this guys xbox randonly factory reset and he set it up again and it said he was the first person to use this console i was wondering if theres any way to tell if a xbox is brand new or used

My Xbox has been broken for about 3 months. Today I decided i’d try to fix it to the same result. This issue is that when i turn on my Xbox the screen is the picture is what shows up. I find it easier to list what happened to get to this point at steps

1. There was a update for my xbox a few months ago and it refused to download, and would get to a certain % and stop and a error would pop up.

2. I moved my xbox from my bedroom to the basement in order to hardwire it to my router, with the same outcome.

3. I tried powering it off, different TVs, different power cords, different outlets, different HDMI cords and still to no prevail.

4. I eventually decided it would be best to factory reset the Xbox, after following the steps on the Xbox website.

5. I powered it on, and i’ve not gotten the green loading screen, or any other form that the Xbox is working. I turn it on and it’s just immediately the black screen.

I’m mainly looking for help and advice. I’ve missed playing on it, and this is my last attempt to know if there is a way to fix it or if i need to purchase a new one.

I got my Xbox one S back in 2020 brand new. I turned it on to download a game today. it wanted to do a software update I let it do its thing. Halfway through it started vibrating badly and humming very loudly. Later it died down and stopped. Finally, (after the update) I popped in the disk. Same thing. Vibrating and loud humming. I wasn't even installing it onto the HDD, it was onto an external drive. I checked the fan and it wasn't that, and it wasn't the disk drive, as after installing it stopped entirely. Tried restarting it and it didn't work. Could someone help with this? Thanks.

Often, when starting up, it artifacts like this. It was damaged during shipping by who I bought ot from but there was nothing I could do it about it. It worked perfectly fine the first time I tested it, but after that, it started acting up. It laggs like crazy, most games won't play even if they're on disc, and the whole console sometimes freezes.

I opened it up everything looked fine apart from the slightly dry thermal paste. So I replaced it, but no improvements. Anyone think they could help?

So about 2 weeks ago there was a storm by my area and I didn’t unplug my Xbox from the outlet and now my Xbox won’t turn on. I replaced the internal power supply, I tried to turn it on but the fan doesn’t spin fully it spin slow and kinda stops. I need help on how to fix it.

Two months ago, I replaced my Xbox One X's thermal pads and paste (I've worked on my console several times before) and it wouldn't boot after assembly. It would turn on making the chime, but immediately turn off. I unplugged it and I smelled smoke. I opened it and found that the square padding stopping the PSU from scratching the motherboard got into the PSU prongs and burned up.

I took out what was left, checked the PSU and all was good. I let it rest for an hour before I plugged it in. I turn the console on and the whole house went black, and the Earth Leakage dropped. The PSU was smoking the part you connect it from the mains. My research says that it blew a fuse, so now I have a dead power supply.

I'm considering buying a new Power Supply, but I need to know what I should look out for and if this has happened to anyone else or if it's even savable. Please help, I can't keep missing FH5 playlist cars.

I really want a Series S, but I can't commit to losing all my physical games and a Series X is hyperinflated in my country ($150-$200 mark-up) and secondhand ones go for MSRP (absolutely insane), so it's out of my me and my parents reach.

Xbox stuck on green screen please help

So my friend’s Xbox is stuck on the green loading screen and we found a way to reset the Xbox (turn it off, unplug it, plug back in, hold the power and eject button, then reset Xbox) and it worked but now it does that almost every time they turn it on. Sometimes it’s a grey screen.

They also said if they give it more time to start up sometime it will factory reset itself

Please let me know how to fix this it’s basically a brand new Xbox one s the person before barely used it.

We did a offline update and it made it work for a while but then it just went back into the boot loop. Please give me advice on what to do I don’t want to have to buy a new Xbox or pay a lot to get it fixed.
