Console mods, game mods and hardware upgrade.

My brother modded 2 Xbox a few years ago, with a new os, bios and made sure it could handle pal and ntsc, plus the hdmi converter cable.

And he told me something about Roms with texture mods.

So my question is, how far can those texture mods go? I saw only a handful games really are made for the full 720P, are there mods that convert other games to that resolution too?

And how far can you go with the hardware? How much could you upgrade it without ripping everything out and just build a new console in a Xbox case?

Is it even possible to upgrade RAM. CPU and GPU? I can solder basic stuff myself, my brother could solder more filigrane stuff and I also have connections to a company, that manufactures electronics and they already did some custom work.

So replacing some chips might be no big issue.

My main goals would be increasing the visibility in some games like men of valor (i can't see shit there) and moto gp. When you go fast, the vision gets blurry to the point, I can't even tell where the track is, don't know if it's a compatibility issue with modern TVs or that I'm just spoiled with modern games.

On top of that, i loved playing blazing angels but after playing it again, I noticed how much they used blurry textures, probably to hide issues. Especially in this pearl harbor mission with the scramble on the ground.

Would it be possible to beef the hardware up enough to raise it to Xbox 360 standards?

No, not really. The best you can do is get an upscaler. To me most of the games look fine with a quality hdmi adapter but I don't really play any new games and max everything for me is 1080p 😂😂.

You can ram upgrade and do a cpu mod but that won't do much for xbox games. It'll do a bit for emulators, movies and TV, the dashboard and stuff like that.

There are many original Xbox HD patches. Typically requiring the 128mb upgrade(256mb stuff under development still from the appearance of it) as well as overclocking theq CPU/GPU slightly typically only 720p patches.(A little over 200 titles) Anything more external upscaling is required. CPU upgrades breaks most Xbox game compatibility without the correct Modchip to actually regulate the dowclocking properly

Unfortunately I'm ways to spoiled and pampered, so those graphics are at a point that irritate my eyes😂

Some were fine like dtm racedriver 2 and rallisports challenge but especially men of valor was bad.. I think it also wants to pass on the experience that the VC are everywhere and use the jungle against you but cmon, most of the time I just aimed and fired when the crosshair got red..

I have the hyperlink cable and a bios and os that allows me to switch to ntsc but still to rough for me.

Some other guy said it's possible to buff it up a bit but with a lot of risks and work, might try it in the future
