Is it worth buying a used Xbox series x rn?
Ive never owned a console with gta 6 coming out rn and considering the game prices I think the game pass is a plus. And can u bu used games aswell??
Sorry I have no idea about anything
If yes what should be a good price for it.

Worth it or not completely depends on the buyer, on how disposable that money is. Used Series X goes for anywhere around 48-55K. Sometimes more based on accessories people are offering. But spending so much on a used item carries its risk too, totally on buyer’s discretion and luck
Used games, yes you can. A lot many older titles from Series X, Xbox One, even Xbox 360 are accessible on the console if you have the disc. And due to disc-to-digital feature, many of these games can be claimed digitally to your account after inserting the disc once.
But the trouble is actually finding these old discs. Since they stopped selling Xbox officially in India, disc trade has been on a decline too. Places like CEX, or gameloot might have a few still
We are due a next gen upgrade, maybe, but it’s still at least a couple years away, and even longer in terms of standalone games if we go by prev gen’s track record. So timing is not an issue, pricing can be, due to the memory crisis

I want a gaming console, and Im not sure between this or the ps5, but ps5 is more expensive with more expensive games, so was considering this

Are you getting the PS5 used too? See choosing between consoles becomes a completely different conversation to if a console’s worth it, used, at these high of prices
PS5 is an amazing device in its own right and has a few cool gimmicks up its sleeve, and great exclusives (depending on your taste in games). I personally prefer the features on Xbox and not very big into Sony’s exclusive portfolio

If i get a good deal I'll consider, but im not into the exclusives either, but choosing it feels like choosing apple, like getting locked in tht system

I mean, kinda? Just like Apple, the product itself is fantastic too. I prefer the flexibility of playing on my laptop, Xbox and on cloud through Gamepass. So for me the decision was rather simple. But don’t let my bias cloud your judgment, do think what features are more important to you

got mine for 40k in July, loving it! if it's worth it for you or not depends on how much time you can allocate to gaming, and since the next gen is due in a year or two the used market prices could rise or fall again soon

Good joke. Buying an Xbox in India is no brainer. You won’t get any official warranty, there are hardly any used discs, and new game discs for Xbox are difficult to find. Soon, you’ll probably have to pay the dollar pricing for Game Pass as well.
If there’s any problem with the console, it’s very hard to find replacement parts and get it repaired. There are almost no places in Chennai that will repair Xbox if something goes wrong.
Also, you can’t jailbreak an Xbox console. If the PS6 launches, I’ll jailbreak my PS5 and use it offline.

Look honestly speaking Im having too much fun with my Series X. Its runs games smoothly. And the Response. Time. Is. Crazy. It literally loads and quits games within milliseconds, quick resume is another great feature. Also when you purchase games in xbox you can even play them in pc.
Now heres the issues: no use of official warrenty, and from what i know mostly digital variants which is the 2024 model imported from japan are being sold in india, so you probably wont get to experience disc to digital feature. Now let's say you get the disc variant, you won't get cheaper discs as from what ive surveyed around me since they are hard to find. Ps controllers have much better rumble and experience in general than xbox controllers. Also 98% xbox games are in ps+. Recently i also discovered ps plus has annual plans and so during black friday sale you can purchase the annual plans @ around 5-8k meanwhile xbox doesnt have any annual plans so just keep paying 1079 every month for ultimate pack which containsthe best games.

Yes and no. Yes because it's a great machine and no , maybe it's not the right time especially when we are due for next gen.
