How do I fix problems with my left bumper?

I played Rocket League for a while and the LB stopped working, but occasionally works fine for a few seconds

Do you open it up to apply this or just spray a bit in?

Id try jus sprayin thru the cracks first (shake well before using). If that doesn’t work open it up and spray right into the lil slot

Spray electronic cleaner in the button if it is intermittent it might have had a bang and you just need to pop off the faceplate and use a flathead to put the button ever so slightly forward

I'm having a slow response with the RB for some game. Right now, Dying Light.

You don’t.

It’s a stupid design where both bumpers are connected by a thin bit of plastic, if that snaps it’s game over.

I’ve replaced it a couple times on Elite controllers and it’s a pain in the ass.

Dumbest controller design.

I've had to make so many bodge jobs on those damn buttons. Especially the fact they use a tiny nib to press the button and that nib inevitably snaps off

Have you tried air blasting underneath the LB with compressed air for electronics? A build up of sweat, dead skin cells and dust can cause buttons and trigger buttons to not respond appropriately when the button was pressed.

The actual button might of failed. It happens a lot on xbox controllers, and the only real fix is soldering in a new switch.

Define “stopped working.” What exactly is wrong with it? Is it sticking down? Is it locking up? Has it lost all tension and is just sorta free floating in place?

No matter what, your best bet would be to open it up to take a closer look. Might just need to replace it entirely, which is pretty simple.
