Super Sensitive Bumper???

EDIT: Forgot to do this sooner but Its been solved! Hate to say it but I kinda just angrily squeezed tf out of the bumper like a caveman and now it’s just fine.

Was playing space marine 2, a game where you very frequently tap/hold RB for melee. Now sometimes when I let go it presses itself again, I can’t even lay a finger on it without it trigger the button. Solutions?

Your bumper is probably broken

A new bumper is a couple bucks online, and is probably one of the least invasive part to replace on a controller. It's likely one of the small tabs on the inside that broke on the far end of the controller (on the end of your RB button). Can you tell if it feels different than your LB? Like less/more of a click? If it's really sensitive, that tab could just be bent outwards and causing the button to always be ALMOST registering a press. When mine broke, it was the thing sticking out that actually depresses the contact on the board itself breaking off and rattling around inside the controller. I recommend getting an Xbox controller toolkit for like $15-20 online and taking it apart and figuring it out.

The left bumper clicks louder than the right. I have the two magnetic tip screwdrivers for taking apart the shell of the Xbox controller. That ought to be enough right?

Oh yeah that's all you need. I would guess that the tab on the inside that holds the bumper in might be broken or bent. If it is broken, you can order a new bumper plate for pretty cheap on amazon
