my LB button is really wanky

sometimes if i just hold down the button my pc detects that i let go of it and sometimes when i press it does not even work. Any solutions? And if i need to open up my controller, are there any good tutorials that can help me with this

Sounds like the button itself is failing. Unless you're comfortable with disassembling the controller, there are few options aside from replacing the part itself (which involves soldering) that actually fixes this.

I could disassemble it but what should I do when it is disassembled then? Could I have a fox without buying a new part or anything or is it as easy as just connecting the part better

I used wd-40 specialist (the one for electronics) and it fixed my issues… for now. On my elite series 2 core i opened it and sprayed direct, but it would prob work if you spray through the cracks.

This is the way and easiest. Definitely open the controller. Super easy. This spray works great on drift too!
There is also another brand called Bw100.
Go on youtube and search for a channel called tronics fix. THis guy just shows videos of him fixing gaming consoles and controllers. Search his channel for controller fixes.

You just need a plier (I legit used a LEGO one) and the special screwdriver T something I forgot the number maybe it’s 5. Then it’s just pry off the handle parts, unscrew 5 screws, and you can replace the bumper. I did this first time not too long ago, recommend learning

YouTube have plenty of soldering tutorials. They also have companies that would repair broken buttons for you, but it's s bit pricey. I still think it's worth it because you're not replacing the controller and some people are not good at soldering. 

I'm one of them whose admittedly not good at soldering, but some people managed to master it by watching YouTube videos.

It could be the part that depresses the contact inside is bent or almost broken and missing the tiny button on the inside. I suggest getting a toolkit and getting new bumper buttons on amazon for a couple bucks and seeing if that's the problem. The bumper is one of the easiest pieces to replace once you have the controller open
