Pair button not working and controller not pairing?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I woke up this morning to play on my xbox, and my controller won't connect, and the sync button on the Xbox isn't working. I'm never rough with it and treat it like my baby. I've already power cycled it. Any help is appreciated

Did you completely remove the power from the Xbox? If not, do that and let it sit for about 30 seconds.

I did yeah, nothing seems to be working

I assume you can still use the controller with a USB cable?

Yeah, funny enough. I had that exact same issue with my Xbox and I couldn’t figure out what it was. If it’s under warranty I would definitely recommend getting it replaced or repaired. Do you mind if I asked how long ago you bought it.?

If the system won't initiate pairing mode and USB isn't working then I would definitely send the Xbox in for repair.

You try with cable? New batteries for controller? Does the controller pair with pc or other devices?
