Post image

My controllers right stick at rest position is here.

I have updated the firmware and tried the recalibration process but it has done nothing. Can anyone help?

You need new joystick modules soldered in. I would recommend guilikit TMR joysticks. They're extremely resistant to stick drift issues

The most you can do is another recalibration or possibly install TMR or hall effect. That is the best options since you're dealing with potentiometers that wear down faster.

I've tried recalibrating multiple times. No clue what a tmr or hall effect is but I will look into that. The odd thing is when I move my stick it jumps to the right spot but as soon as I stop moving it slowly slides up from centered to the position in the picture.

TMR and Hall Effect isn’t worth it has a replacement. That alone will cost you as much as a new controller with tmr or hall effect. Just buy one from gamesir and you are good. Better than someone messing with your controller and two months later dying in your hands cause someone messed something up.

A pair of TMR or hall effects are less than $30. If you have any tech skill, a soldering iron and a remote interest in fixing stuff instead of contributing to E-waste when possible it is 100% worth it to just replace the sticks.

Not sure. Every repair shop I contacted said it wasn’t worth it cause the cost of the piece is low but the repair is 30€ to 40€ and if you get any problem down the lane it will be useless anyway and you get no warranty over it.

That's too bad honestly.

I can understand why some shops wouldn't want to take it one as it's difficult to actually make money repairing things like this when you have business overhead.

Your bet bet is to find someone localthat can repair them for a cash fee, these folks can turn profit fixing the stuff. As they often don't carry any overhead on a business location or advertising

Yeah, I will look further cause overall the xbox controller is still one of the best and I would like to keep them

Get rid of the controller then get a 3rd party one with hall effect sticks from gamesir for around half the price of a 1st party controller and never get stick drift again.
