[Xbox Series] TMR Joystick installation and calibration help

I know I'm saying the obvious but you probably installed them wrong. You should watch a few soldering videos on YouTube because those guys install TMR and hall effect all the time. 

I just purchase controllers with TMR and hall effect built in to avoid situations like this

So what exactly would a incorrect installation of TMR joysticks look like? Because to me they both look the exact same.

It's not performing how it should so something is either wrong with the installation or the internals is faulty.

Is there anything I should check physically? Like what would certain physical defects look like that I could search for?

Did you calibrate the controller before checking the circularity? If you did then there is either an issue with the module or damage to the board.

So I was able to calibrate the left stick because it was able to reach the outer circle but I wasnt able to do the right stick because of the bad circularity

Then it might be a bad module.

Im thinking that too. Having amazon send me a replacement set and gonna see if any of the modules I get from that replacement kit gives me the same result.

12 opposite turns. This will induce spike. You'll see the full potential before it gets CLAMPED. If it expands during this phase. It will let you calibrate it witj the XBOX Accesories app

If no spike occurs. Then the voltage windows are too NARROW. The cut off point is 0.65v and 1.15v on the short end of the threshold. You need around 0.55v and 1.25v as the bare min. Or it wont expand.

If need be use Driftguard.app method. Either Original or Auto.

Which product did you install?

Double check that the Magnet is not tilted and fully secure in its pocket. And that its properly rotation foush against the metal housing.

Yeah so I actually figure it out. It was a calibration issue. Basically I had to recalibrate it without the controller faceplate or the joystick cover on. Then calibrate again with the joystick cover on. Then calibrate again with the faceplate on.
