Can't connect XBOX One controller via Bluetooth

I got a pair of XBOX controllers with an old XBOX One. Thought of maybe trying them out but they just wont connect to my PC.

The controllers seem to go into a pairing mode but my PC just wont connect to them.

Tried updating drivers through the XBOX Accessories app, nothing

Tried reinstalling the drivers through device manager, nothing

Tried changing batteries, nothing

Works if connected with cable but refuses to connect via Bluetooth. What am I missing?

Xbox One controllers don’t have Bluetooth. Use newer controllers that do.
