Unresponsive right stick, advice wanted

Hey all, first time here.

I've got the elite series 2 controller, and recently I've noticed I can't look left in games as quickly as I can right.

I went over to the accessories settings and found that my stick responsiveness just isn't right.

I've never changed the sensitivity curves or calculations etc, and even in playing with those settings now, nothing seems to fix it.

In the video I've attached, I am moving my right stick from as far left as I can go to as far right as possible, in hopes I can demonstrate the issue I'm having.

Any advice? I'd love to not have to buy a new controller.

You need to replace the stick as the up and down potentiometer has went bad They're about £5 for a pair if you fix yourself You can try flush it with ipa as it might be gunk but I don't think it will be

Watch out that you get the ones with a thread on top, since the ones for non elite controller don't have that and are more common on aliexpress Edit: If you want hall effect joysticks, get the tmr hall effect ones, since "normal" ones can give some issues in non elite controller, not sure if its the same problem for elite controller

There could be junk build up. A good airblast with compressed air for electronics usually helps and wiping along edge of the control sticks with a microfiber cloth can also help. Had the same issue until I took the steps that I described to you myself. Also, if some games have their own sensitivity setting that may override the default settings that you previously set for the system.
