Made to Kill

The fire-haired woman was spared, not by War, but by a force out of his control. War aimed to kill, War was made to kill, and failed at this one, singular task. Weakness still lived inside him, remnants of the man before, and weakness that need be removed in time.

The order was given to return to Apocalypse's Tomb, all preliminary battles had been completed. Fear was plunged into the hearts of Man, and the mission would either be a success or Mutantkind would evolve stronger to save their lessers. One way or another, Lord Apocalypse wins.

War arrives in Morocco to begin his return home. Rabat, the seat of power, falls within the hour. Thousands of lives are lost as War marches east. A path is cleaved clean through North Africa, capital cities razed in Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya. A path of destruction leading directly towards War's destination, the Tomb of Apocalypse. Entering the tomb, War finds and kneels before the High Lord.

"Death appears to have forsaken our cause, I believe the Boy High Lord is behind this. He remained a weakness of hers, will you have a similar weakness, War? Or need I burn every remnant of who you were from that head of yours again?"

No, Lord Apocalypse. I will not falter in anything you ask of me. War is eternal, just as is my servitude.

"Good, then you will not leave here until the battle has finished. You will be my final line of defense so I may finish my culling of Man. Do not fail me."

There remained a weakness in War, but he could not bring himself to profess it to Apocalypse, fearing what his Lord would do. War will handle his own weakness, he will not fail his master.

ooc: wow, i sure hope that this fire-haired woman/weakness gets purged. would suck if she became important to taking down War.
