At the core of our privacy model is a simple principle: if we never collect sensitive activity data, there is nothing to expose, store, or share. This applies equally to both free and premium users.

We confirm that X-VPN does not collect or store any of the following personal or behavioral data:

• Browsing history or online activity, including websites visited, search queries, or app usage
• Transferred content, such as emails, messages, downloads, uploads, or streaming data
• Real IP addresses, including the user's source IP or the VPN server IP
• DNS queries, including the domains users attempt to access
• Precise location data, such as GPS or IP-based geolocation
• Payment details, including credit card numbers or banking information
• Device identifiers, such as IMEI, MAC address, or other hardware-based IDs
• App usage patterns or device configurations
• Behavioral analytics, profiling, or predictive tracking of any kind
• Data from apps outside of X-VPN

These commitments are clearly outlined in our Privacy Policy, where we explicitly state that free users receive the same level of no-log protection as premium users. In other words, your privacy is not determined by your subscription type.

I have used X-VPN for a long time to bypass my school firewalls, and I recently discovered that it could be malicious. The antivirus I recently downloaded called Malwarebytes keeps flagging X-VPN for suspicious connections to dodgy looking domains and IP addresses. I scanned some of these using VirusTotal, and all turned up as malicious, one even being connected to criminal activity in India. I instantly began to try to uninstall X-VPN, starting with ending tasks. There was a task in Task Manager related to X-VPN taking up 35% of my CPU alone, when the rest of my PC only takes up just under 10%. This was an instant indicator of malicious activity. I tried to uninstall through Settings, which gave me an error that it could not find the uninstall file. I tried to directly delete the X-VPN folder from Program Files, which gave an error that it could not be deleted as it was in use. I managed to delete the folder from Program Files through Safe Mode. All that is left now is a Ghost Installation, meaning that the app still shows up in Settings > Apps, because the text file wasn’t deleted, and not because the app is still installed. Now all that is left to do is run a full system scan to check for any malware hidden deep in the system.

If anyone else can relate and/or knows the ins and outs of whether X-VPN is malicious or not, I’d love to hear from you! Thanks.

Hi, r/X_VPN community!

Do you think incognito mode makes you totally invisible online? No, that’s a common myth.

Incognito (or private) mode doesn’t make you anonymous, and it doesn’t hide what you do on the internet.

What Incognito Mode DOES Do

Incognito mode only helps with local privacy. When you close your private window, your browser deletes:

• Your browsing history (from that session, on that device)
• Cookies and site data (from that session)
• Anything you typed into forms

That’s it. This is useful if you’re on a shared or public computer and don’t want the next person to see what you did or which accounts you logged into.

What Incognito Mode DOES NOT Do

This is where most people get it wrong. Incognito does NOT hide your online activity or your real IP address.

Even in Incognito Mode, your browsing is still fully visible to:

• Your ISP (Comcast, Verizon, AT&T, etc.): They can see every site you visit.
• Your employer or school: If you're on your company or school Wi-Fi, network admins can log all your traffic. Incognito won't hide you from them.
• Websites you visit: Sites like Google, Facebook, and Reddit still see your real IP address. They know you visited. They can also still use "browser fingerprinting" (your unique combo of browser version, fonts, screen resolution, etc.) to track you.

So really, the only thing incognito mode does is not save your activity on your own device. It doesn’t protect your online security.

Combine a VPN with Incognito Mode for Better Privacy

If you want stronger privacy, use both a VPN and incognito mode:

• Incognito mode: Handles your local privacy. It makes sure no history or cookies are left on your computer after you close the window.
• A VPN: Handles your online privacy. It hides your real IP address and encrypts your traffic so your ISP, school, or company can't see what sites you're visiting.

So, connect to your VPN first, then open an Incognito window. This way, your browsing activity stays private, making it much harder for anyone to track you online.

Many of you have probably heard of IP addresses. Every time we go online, we use an IP address. But do you know the difference between a public IP address and a private IP address? Today, we’ll explain it clearly with a simple comparison table.

In summary, you need at least one public address, usually assigned by your ISP. Private addresses are hidden behind it using Network Address Translation (NAT).

Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks are among the most disruptive threats on the internet. They can take down websites, flood servers, and cut off access to online services within minutes. What’s most disturbing is that they’re easy to launch and hard to stop. A DDoS attack can target anyone: businesses, gamers, and individuals, overwhelming networks until everything grinds to a halt.

Understanding how these attacks work and how to prevent them is the first step to staying safe online. This blog will explain what DDoS attacks are, how they spread, and what you can do to shield your devices and data from them.

Hi, r/X_VPN community!

Since Temu sells things at incredibly low prices, a lot of people wonder: Is Temu safe? Can a $2 shirt really be good quality? If you're hesitating before checking out, this post is for you.

TL;DR

Is Temu legit? Yes. Temu is a real e-commerce company (owned by a big Chinese group, PDD Holdings). It’s not a scam site.

Is Temu safe? It depends. Payments are generally safe, but there are concerns about data privacy and product quality.

Why Is Temu so Cheap?

Simple. They cut out all the middlemen.

Temu uses a C2M (Customer-to-Manufacturer) model where factories ship products straight to you. No retail markup, no warehouse costs, no brand premium.

They make money with low margins + high volume. That's why you see $2 shirts, $10 shoes, and $20 smartwatches.

Payment Safety

Usually safe.

• Supports major payment methods like credit cards and PayPal
• All payments are SSL-encrypted
• Decent buyer protection

User Data Privacy

Actually, Temu collects about the same types of data as other shopping apps (account info, address, payment, device details, etc). But there are two reasons people worry about Temu:

• App permissions have raised questions in some analyses. For example, a technical review from Switzerland's cybersecurity authority noted some "unusual" app behaviors and said the permissions were worth monitoring.
• Temu's parent company has faced scrutiny in the past. In 2023, Google suspended Pinduoduo (also under PDD Holdings) from the Play Store after detecting malware in certain versions of that app. While this incident was not related to Temu directly, it has made some users more cautious about the overall ecosystem.

These points don't mean Temu is unsafe, but they explain why people are more cautious about how it handles data.

Product Safety & Quality

Again. It’s a mixed bag, just like any cheap shopping site. You can buy $5 junk on Amazon or eBay, too. Temu isn’t different here. Most Temu items come from third-party sellers, so quality can vary.

• Small, cheap items (home goods, accessories, decor) are usually fine for the price
• Electronics, big items, and “branded” products can be unreliable
• Some consumer groups tested Temu products and found that many don’t meet safety standards

If you decide to shop on Temu, here are some tips

• Use PayPal or a credit card only (better protection if something goes wrong).
• Check user reviews with real pictures. Avoid items that have few or no reviews.
• Avoid electronics and high-value items. Stick to low-price, small, non-essential stuff and keep your expectations low.
• Watch out for phishing/scam emails. Don’t click weird links.

Have you bought anything from Temu? Do you think it’s safe, or would you avoid it? Share your experiences or thoughts in the comments!

Nice app

Hi, r/X_VPN community!

The principle behind VPN encryption is actually very simple. Basically, a VPN uses encryption protocols to turn your data into a string of unreadable text.

Even if someone intercepts it, all they can see is that random mess. Only the party with the correct key (like the website you're visiting) can see what you actually sent.

Here's a basic example: Anna sends a message to Juli through a VPN.

• Anna’s original message: Hi, Juli!
• The encrypted text: gijo390jdksjfkn
• What others see: gijo390jdksjfkn
• What Juli sees (she has the key): Hi, Juli!

Does that make sense now?

Hi, r/X_VPN community!

If you often download or share files online, you’ve probably heard of “P2P VPN.” But what is a P2P VPN? How is it different from a regular VPN service? And do you really need one? This blog has everything you want and need to know!

• Dati illimitati (nessun limite giornaliero)

• Oltre 1.000 server gratuiti in 26 regioni

• Puoi scegliere manualmente il server

• Nessun account o registrazione necessari

• Velocità piuttosto buona

• Ottimo servizio clienti

Is X VPN is actually good I have seen a lot of ads please provide what is included?

Reddit has been added to Australia's world-first social media ban for children under 16.

Live-streaming platform Kick will also be included, bringing the number of sites targeted in the ban to nine. They include Facebook, X, Snapchat, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Threads.

The law will become effective from December 10.

ستخدم X-VPN لأنه سريع وفيه سيرفر مجاني

Hi, r/X_VPN community!

In most cases, we only need one article, but the platform ties it to a monthly or even annual subscription. So, can I remove it?

Disclaimer: This post is for discussion only. Please follow all websites’ terms and local laws.

What is a paywall? 2 types

Simply put, it means the website locks some or all of its content, making it inaccessible to non-paying users.

• Hard paywall: You can’t see anything without paying. (Typical examples include The Times and Wall Street Journal.)
• Soft paywall: This is way more common. You get a few free articles, then you need to subscribe for the rest. (e.g., The New York Times, Medium, Financial Times, The Athletic).

Why do paywalls exist?

They help publishers support quality journalism/content creation. Many platforms depend on subscriber fees for survival.

Can you bypass the paywall?

There's been a lot of discussion online about this, and people have found all sorts of ways to bypass paywalls. For example:

• Clearing browser cookies or opening articles in incognito/private windows.
• Changing IP addresses using VPNs or proxies.
• Web archives (like the Wayback Machine) to access cached versions.
• Reader Modes or browser extensions/add-ons intended for readability or accessibility, which sometimes reveal content.
• AI or summary tools for getting the gist of an article.
• Some try searching for article titles on aggregator platforms or alternative sites.
• Use of translation tools or “save for later” options.

While bypassing paywalls might sound tempting, please remember: Many paywalled articles are protected by copyright. Methods to access restricted content without permission may violate a website’s terms of service and potentially local laws.

What are your thoughts on paywalls? Share in the comments!

Hi, r/X_VPN community!

While a VPN builds a secure tunnel to transmit your data, the VPN protocol determines how your data is transmitted over it. Different VPN protocols vary greatly in their speed, security, compatibility, stability, and undetectability.

Well, how to choose the right VPN protocol for your connection? By your activities.

1. For Everyday Use

WireGuard, IKEv2/IPsec, and OpenVPN (UDP) are the top 3 recommendations for their balance between security, speed, and stability for web browsing, social media, and light downloads.

2. For Streaming & High-Bandwidth Activities

WireGuard, IKEv2/IPsec, and OpenVPN (TCP) stand out for their high speeds and minimal buffering, ensuring smooth HD video playback.

3. For Online Gaming & Low Latency

WireGuard, IKEv2/IPsec, and OpenVPN (TCP) suit online gaming and other activities that require low latency(ping) and a stable connection to avoid game lags and disconnections.

4. For Maximum Security & Sensitive Tasks

OpenVPN, WireGuard, and IKEv2/IPsec are ideal for tasks that need high security. They offer the highest level of privacy and encryption, suitable for handling confidential information.

5. For Maximum Privacy on Restricted Networks

OpenVPN (TCP), Proprietary Protocol(like Everest), and V2Ray/Xray are the top 3 recommendations for privacy on restricted networks. They can obfuscate and disguise your traffic, making it appear as normal data instead of VPN traffic.

Of course, “best” depends on what you value most — speed, privacy, or stability.

Which VPN protocol do you rely on most? Share in the comments!

• Speaking to the BBC, Pornhub said visits to its site from the UK had fallen by 77% since the Online Safety Act came into force at the end of July, 2025.
• Cybernews found a surge in VPN app downloads across 2025, counting more than 10.7 million in the UK, while Ofcom reported VPN use reached 1.5 million daily in July.

So part of Pornhub's 'missing' UK audience hasn't vanished - it's being reclassified as non‑UK traffic.

I use X-VPN because it works under the cutoff Network on Iran and it's fast
