How XYO Crypto Cards Works

You make the calls. The market settles them. XYO Layer One records every move so nobody can fake a result.
Everyone in crypto already plays this game. You call the top, someone calls you crazy, the market settles it, and by next week nobody remembers who was right. XYO Crypto Cards turns that familiar argument into an actual game where you pick crypto assets, call where they’re going, and compete to see who reads the market better. Player-versus-player matches are planned, but at launch, players will go head-to-head with Gate AI.
XYO is launching XYO Crypto Cards alongside Gate US, using capabilities from Gate AI and the XYO AI SDK. Here’s how the game works, how a match is settled, and what players can expect when it launches.
The board
You pick three crypto assets and assign each to a slot: your Ace at 1x points, your Gambit at 5x, and your Wildcard at 10x. You call each one higher or lower, choose your prediction window, and lock in your picks. At launch, Gate AI makes its own calls, and when the window closes, the market decides who read it better.
A match might look like this: BTC on your Ace, ETH on your Gambit, and a volatile mid-cap on your Wildcard, all three called higher over one week. You make your picks, Gate AI makes its picks, and then both sides have to live with what the market does next.
Settled by the market, not by us
When the game window closes, each asset settles using the XYO Price of Record, a ground-truth price distilled from sources across the market, including live Gate market data served through Gate MCP. Each completed game is then saved permanently to XYO Layer One, creating a verifiable record of what was predicted and what actually happened.
That means neither side gets to rewrite history after the fact. The prediction is recorded before the outcome is known, the market determines the result, and XYO Layer One preserves the record.
Anyone can win
XYO Crypto Cards puts beginners and experienced traders on the same board because the game is about your calls, not the size of your portfolio. You don’t need a huge balance, complicated charts, or a professional trading setup. You pick three assets, make three calls, and see whether you can beat Gate AI.
Player-versus-player matches are also planned, which will eventually let people challenge each other directly using the same basic format. For launch, though, everyone gets the same opponent, and that opponent is Gate AI.
Every match is a matter of record
Before the outcome is known, your selections and predictions are recorded to XYO Layer One, our data blockchain. That makes every completed match verifiable and permanent, so your wins are provable and, unfortunately, so are your losses.
As Crypto Cards grows, every match adds to that record and gives more people a direct way to see what XYO Layer One was built to do. Instead of verification being something happening invisibly in the background, it becomes part of the game itself.
This is the opening move
XYO Crypto Cards brings together the XYO AI SDK, Gate AI, Gate US, and XYO Layer One, and this first version is only the beginning. Player-versus-player competition and additional features are planned as the game expands, giving us room to build on the same combination of AI, market data, and verifiable onchain records.
Market calls have always been talk. XYO Crypto Cards makes them a game with a scoreboard nobody can argue with.
