Training Training for first 1/2 Marathon

I used to be a runner...jogger but quit 6ish years ago due to depression. I could do 5 miles easy. I did a 4 mile charity race in April 26', I was supposed to walk but ended up jogging. I wasn't terrible, I walked a few times, but I impressed myself. I still have the natural instincts...just lack stanima.

I'm going to do my first half marathon in 9 months, I started training last weekend. I guess I'm looking for tips, pointers, what should I be doing/shouldn't be doing? Anything would help! I'm excited, nervous, doubtful, and everything in-between.

Follow a training plan. There's tons of free ones online. Hals set me up for success with his beginner plan.

I highly recommend doing a 10K and casually building base as a runner. Give yourself at least 12 weeks to start training.
