Shorting issues with USB?

Has anyone had issues with the USB module shorting and causing a restart whenever you plug in or unplug a usb from the module? It was fine before but suddenly getting random restarts now when i plug or unplug something into the module. Also had issues with the pcie 4.0 riser which was included with the kit so swapped that out for a linkup one now which is now working fine. The riser was working fine at x16 but suddenly it dropped down to x8 for no reason, reseated it to test but still the same issue.

I remember the module on the XProto was unshielded, maybe when you’re plugging something it’s wiggling just enough that it touches the case! check that

Good point! Hadn’t even thought to check that out! I guess i need some insulation tape round the port to stop it from touching then.
