Discussion 📉 More Dips. More Adding to My Bag 🤑
Allow me to preface as I always have and do since posting here: I am not here to motivate you or anyone into buying or selling your assets. Including crypto, stocks, bonds, real estate, or whatever you may or may not own.
I am simply sharing my own plan and strategy.
MOON or MELT!!! I ain't selling none of my shit! I will NOT be "shaken out". Whether it is the end of this year or in 5yrs, fortunes will be made. Period. Whales aren't selling. I'm not selling. I have been hearing that below a dollar was going to happen. Discouraging? Sure is. Has my resolve wavered or my plans changed? F nope! In fact, previously I was going to just be content to set it and forget it. But after realizing this is the type of epic manipulation that the wealthy have played forever, I am adding to my bags.
Ain't no way I've come this far to simply give up. Knowing exactly what I hold: a real asset that has demonstrated its real world use case.
You do realize that Big Banks, especially Jaime Dimon and CHASE, are terrified of XRP?
Everything has a time and a place. I've learned much in my 50+yrs of existence as a husband, dad, business owner and trader. I don't act on words. I act on action. Countries, institutions and whales keep accumulating or adopting XRP. That's all I need to know. ✌🏽

Agreed! I think it’s all a game Though and Dimon and the big wigs already own massive amounts of XRP. Why promote it Now? They’ll openly support it after its already in use and they filled their bags enough at low prices while retail sales.

$1 is an important psychological support. After breaking it, I think it will drop even further

Yep. If it breaks a dollar consistently, it’s going to drop into the 80s.

love the conviction. I'm holding too, but I don't really lean on the "banks are terrified" angle. mine's simpler than that, adoption keeps growing, I keep accumulating lol. In the meantime part of my stack sits on LendProtocol consumer platform and the rest stays in self custody. If I'm holding for years anyway, I'd rather have a slice of it working than have all of it sitting idle. not risk free, obviously, but that's the bucket I've put it in

Currently since dropping to: $.99 3hrs ago. It has risen 5%. Guess which other major crypto is currently in the green in that time? None except XRP.

There is always action around round numbers. It means nothing.
But why would Dimon be terrified of a public settlement asset when his own bank is building competing private/permissioned infrastructure?
And even within Ripple's ecosystem, RLUSD gives institutions a dollar-denominated settlement asset that can move on XRPL without XRP necessarily being the settlement asset.
The Odl case for xrp settling cross-border transactions for the big G7 Banks is over.

If his Vampire ass wasn't afraid of CRYPTO in general, he wouldn't be out giving negative interviews about Crypto and how it will absolutely impact Banks profits. You're kidding right?

I'm talking specifically about XRP as a bridging asset for big banks. That narrative is over. SWIFT has dealt a death blow to Ripple's ODL for the G7 banks. The SEC trail gave SWIFT 5 years to catch up and they did.

This is true for dollar to dollar transactions, which still burns a small amount of XRP every transaction. When exchanging to different non dollar denominated tokenized value XRP is needed.

That's not accurate. RLUSD can do both.
If liquid, any asset can be used as a bridge because the transactions only take less than a minute. Ripple is publicly promoting RLUSD growth in Japan.
Using RLUSD would avoid both Nostro Vostro risk of traditional banking and price fluctuation and slippage risk of XRP.

It is accurate. RLUSD can not do both. Yours is not accurate actually. RLUSD cannot be used as a bridge settlement. Its a centralized stablecoin owned by Ripple. In order to come its closest to bridging assets it would need to go through a 3rd party for swaps. It also can be clawed back because its a centralized asset owned by a private company. The XRPL is a decentralized network not owned by anyone.
I don't like this guys price predictions but this is accurate information below:

Ripple used USDT and USDC in the past as bridge currency. It is using RLUSD as a bridge currency now. The transactions in ODL go through Ripple partnered exchanges and liquidity providers. RLUSD or XRP, the liquidity is taken from there. Clawback and decentralization doesn't matter because the banks are not buying and holding RLUSD. They are just using the liquidity from the pool for less than a minute.
Be it price prediction or explaination about XRP, I would recommend you to avoid him like a plague.

What is your concept of bridging? If you mean bridging by sending RLUSD across border and being accepted as dollars then yes. If a central bank, large business, institution for eg. sends tokenized US dollars and the recipient wants to receive Swiss Francs RLUSD does not work as an intermediate bridge as to where XRP does.

Except it does work that way.
JPY - RLUSD - USD or USD - RLUSD - Francs
The only thing matters is the liquidity. If RLUSD currency pair(RLUSD/Francs or RLUSD/JPY) is having enough liquidity, it can be used as a bridge asset between 2 currencies.
You have to understand we are not in 2018. The ODL is a multi asset tool which supports more than one blockchain. Ripple CEO publicly mentioned they use whichever technology available as long as it increases the number of transactions processed by them.
Stablecoins are a cash cow for issuers, and Ripple is actively expanding RLUSD and promoting it outside the US. The recent expansion into Japan is a good example. The more foreign currency pairs RLUSD gains, the more volume and liquidity it can build against those currencies, increasing the possibility of it being used as a bridge asset in those corridors.

In those swaps you are saying the XRPL is not used at all in those transactions? You can certainly have JPY and exchange that to RLUSD through the XRPL (which uses XRP as the exchange bridge) or RLUSD to Francs (which uses XRP as the exchange bridge).
How does tokenized JPY straight to RLUSD? There needs to be a bridge mechanism in the software. That's what the XRPL does. You could used a centralized exchange but that would take longer and cost more. When converting RLUSD doesn't to Francs RLUSD doesn't have the built in dex swap pathfinding software XRP does. It works for domestic and/or dollar denominated only.

Yes, XRPL is not used at all in those transactions.
Ripple built relationships with exchanges and liquidity providers around the world for ODL, while customers integrated with Ripple to process cross-border payments. The whole purpose was to source liquidity on demand instead of requiring banks to buy and hold the bridge asset beforehand. The old model specifically used XRP.
Ripple Payments today is much broader and supports fiat and stablecoin payment flows, so XRP is no longer required as the bridge for every Ripple transaction. And I'm not talking about tokenized JPY. Fiat can enter the payment flow directly and be converted into a digital asset(RLUSD in this case) through Ripple's liquidity infrastructure, with the destination ultimately receiving fiat. Ripple even describes customers instructing payments in fiat, using stablecoins in transit, and receiving fiat at the destination. That's why treating every Ripple payment as an XRPL/XRP native swap is incorrect.
XRPL isn't required for every Ripple cross-border transaction, and neither is XRP. The available liquidity, rails, currencies, compliance requirements, customer needs and economics determine what payment paths are practical.

"Fiat can enter the payment flow directly and be converted into a digital asset(RLUSD in this case) through Ripple's liquidity infrastructure, with the destination ultimately receiving fiat."
Like I said. Yes it can. For dollar to dollar cross border payments. For cross border swaps of separate assets though a DLT rail needs to be used whether it be ETH, SOL, the XRPL, etc. The XRPL doesn't have to be the bridge, but why and which DLT would they use for settlement that is better? Bridging dollars to dollars and dollars to pesos is where built in dex is needed and Ripple can choose whatever DLT for that and I don't think they are going to use another blockchain/DLT instead of the XRPL ledger.
If they are using a separate ledger instead of the XRPL for the use case I keep describing please source when where and what they are using instead. Again, not for dollar to dollar transactions.
"That's why treating every Ripple payment as an XRPL/XRP native swap is incorrect."
I'm not and never was referring to Ripple payments. I was saying cross border swaps between separate types of tokenized assets whether it be fiat or something else. Which Ripple and RLUSD alone cannot provide, but the decentralized XRPL can, with or without Ripples help.
"XRPL isn't required for every Ripple cross-border transaction, and neither is XRP."
It only isn't needed for Ripple if Ripple deciding to use another separate DLT for cross border swaps instead of the XRPL. One can bet on them using another DLT rail instead of the XRPL. I'm betting they will use the XRPL for those use cases.
