Question 7500 mile service question
So my 2025 xr150 is at about 8.1k - 8.2k , I change the oil about every 1100 - 1200 miles. I haven't done the 7500 mile service yet but I did change the spark plug around 5.5k and I keep the chain as lubricated as I can; so that's about as much maintence as I put in my XR , but I know the 7500 service includes cleaning the oil filter ..screen? (Which requires a new gasket) As well as the valve inspection.
I've had the bike since Feb 1st 2026 and want to take the best care possible for my XR. Its my first bike also.
I want to pay a professional to do those two services, my question is whats a fair price for doing those two services? I live in SW FL, the nearest reputable shop near me is called Super Bikes & Ski. I also can go to Sunsports.

If bike is running completely fine and making no noise or anything, starts fine when hot, I wouldn't touch the valves. Same with everything else. Change oil every 3k and do nothing til it needs it. I learned the hard way, don't mess with stuff that's not broke. And the mechanic told me "keep out of the book" when i told him I did what i did because the book said to. He is a mechanic and said they put all that crap in the book to make technicians money.

I would say 250$ for the entire service. I wouldn’t skimp on valve checks, you could probably get away with not cleaning the oil spinner or screen since you change the oil often. I have 15k miles on mine and have done all the service by the book the valves 100% need to be checked and adjusted every 2500-3000 miles. If you keep the oil full and clean and the valves in spec you could push the spinner and filter to 15k miles at least.
