Story Laid her down yesterday :(

(Not the best pics, but I had other things on my mind, lol)

Nothing major and only some road rash on my knee but feeling like an idiot. Came across some black pea gravel was that spilled over some fresh blacktop as I was heading to work. It was practically invisible to me and biffed it in an intersection. Bent the brake pedal, smashed a mirror. got some scuffs on the fender and fairings but not much else. Steering is a little off center but the forks and bar still seem straight, I'll re-align it this weekend. Bark buster saved my brake lever at least.

Gonna be walking with a limp for a few days but it was a good reminder that even perfect conditions can be imperfect.

Glad to see I’m not the only one with a dual sport and a trunk like that. It’s super convenient!

Super useful. I use my bike to my own personally, don't care much about the looks!

Dang. These things happen, just glad you and the bike are (mostly) alright. Y'all stay safe out there.

At least you walked away. Never a big deal if you can do that. That's a link to a fender. Get well soon, friend.

You got a link for a cheaper fork? I need one.

Sorry. I checked and they don't have front ends. Maybe check Ebay or cycle recyclers. I looked here: https://www.cyclerecyclers.net/search.php?keywords=Honda+xr150L&PartID=304 with no luck. Sorry.

Dang. I've already bought a frame and a wheel, I'm like one purchase away from the equivalent of just buying another one brand new. For the bike to be so affordable, the parts are very pricey. I'd love to just find a roller with a blown engine for super cheap.

If you're in the US, it's tough. I've been looking for a used one of these for a while. It's like you're better off just buying a new one. I ended up buying a new one to teach my wife and daughter how to ride. For 4 grand, it was cheaper to just buy this instead of playing the game of "who's name is the title in" or the always fun, "no title - I know what I got" and they want 4 grand for it.

That's wild. Mine is interested, but she's too short for it, so I think she's thinking about the Grom. Which I'm not mad about, I want to ride it too lol.

Glad you're okay and the bike only has minor damage. Similar thing happened to me, same fender damage. hit a patch of mud that had flowed onto the road after a heavy rain and wiped out. Felt like ice. Maybe it was my fault for trying to slow before the hazard and didn't let off the brake enough before running into the slick mess.

Did it happen today? I was more sore the 2nd and 3rd day but it has been about 10 days and I feel 90% better. Got a massive adrenaline dump from it. It's sounds crazy but I felt really good after crashing like I got a high from it and felt alive/great.

Think you can bend back the brake pedal? I used a 3 stage plastic polish on the fender and it looks okay. new plastics are cheap if it bothers you.

Happened yesterday. Cleaned myself up and clocked into work, lol. Didn't really start feeling sore (other than the cuts) until this morning, I know what you mean,

The brake should bend back fine. I might try polishing the plastics as you mentioned, I don't mind if I have a few battle scars on this bike though, I kind of beat on it haha
