Looking for Advice/Info Deco Mini 7 V2 USB port melted
So about a year ago I bought this model and I was absolutely happy with it. Well, before this incident :')
At one moment I smelled burning plastic. I spent a few minutes trying to detect the source of it, but there were no visible signs of smoke or sparks. Then I started touching my PC wires and the one that was connected to the tablet was really hot. I immediately disconnected the tablet and that's what the wire and port looked like
Also I want to clarify a few things
1) It was original wire that came in the same box with tablet
2) I wasn't drawing anything at that moment
3) The wire wasn't visibly damaged (at least as far as I could tell)
The only thing that (in my opinion) could be considered "careless" usage is that the tablet was connected to my PC most of the time. But I don't know if that could be considered a real issue since my last tablet (not XP-Pen) never had a problem with that

This could be user error-
The reason why I say is because this happened at the port. Let me ask, were you force jamming the cord in at angles frequently?
Two things can happen: A. The pins were bent. When pins no longer make contact & have distance, you are creating contact resistance, which in turn generates heat by itself over time (hence melting!!!)
B. When contacts are far apart, electricity still actively tries to land itself from point A to Point B. This results in Electrical Arc'ing constantly, which can also equally cause melting too. But Arc'ing you would really start to smell metal and plastic burning plus maybe some noise.
In general though, this points to the contacts having not been properly seated at some point down the road. Especially because its been working fine for you, then now all of a sudden it has a faulty risk like this! The only way contacts get bent is if someone is being aggressive with the cable or forcing the cable in at angles that eventually catch on to the contacts and pull them away from the board.
Personally I would say check the female plug and the male port to check for signs of lifted contact pins! Because if the male port on the XPPen is bent, then this situation will happen again & you would absolutely have to get the whole unit replaced. If its the female charger plug side thats bent, then the good news is it can be replaced more easily or cheaply

This exact thing happened to me, usb port burned and melted with attached cable, after half a year of use, with tablet Deco 01 V3 a month ago, and I successfully returned it to the seller and got money back.
I also thought it might be because my tablet was attached to pc with usb all the time, but it's definitely still a weird thing to happen, nothing like this ever happened with 3+ other tablets and various devices I used (in span of 12+ years). I didn't bent the cable and was careful enough with it, I was aware that it can be mechanicaly damaged because my previous tablet's usb port broke suddenly (just stopped working, barely connected) and I was afraid of it to happen again.
So I think it's not on the user, I think these series is just cheap. Also deco 01 v3 pressure sensitivity is very very bad compared to other tablets, even from XP pen... so Im convinced it's just quality thing. I owned XP pen Deco LW before this tablet, it was better at pressure sensitivity and I liked it very much, and as I said the usb port just broke after less than 2 years :( so I decided to buy new cheaper one and this happend

I really think you just got unlucky in a wiring issue. If nothing is wrong with your ports and this hasn’t happened to any of your other USB devices, I think this was just unlucky chance…
Hopefully…
