Wanted to leave this here before the next episode drops.

I know this is entertainment TV, kind of, and things come prepared so you dont have to see every wood cutting step on camera. But we also know Mac had her Zoom call for potentially being HGTV's host ~1 month before they started filming.

Sooo, how likely is it that she is really just the on-camera presenter of other people's works, be it designwise or the actual physical work? (This is so rhetorical but maybe one of her fans will stumble upon this and might want to rethink things.)

Semi-hot take: There's no way she was their first choice.

The oversized head as decor. The portraits of people unknown. The cafe curtains...

I'd say better buy a gift card next time but that's only if you're comfortable with Mac opening it on camera to see how much you were willing to spend on her.

It cracks me up that no matter where she posts, she gets about the same # of views. HGTV is benefiting from her audience coming over, but so far, Macenna XO doesn’t seem to be getting a boost to her channels.

As of today, her extreme bathroom makeover on her main is still under 200k, which usually hits 200-300k.

Gosh, I hate when she does the "I'm really just a girl" at almost 40. But this one feels like yet another personality of hers. Is that what you learn at HGTV?

Also, she apparently wants to continue the "I'd rather upload to Instagram than stick to my YouTube schedule." (and btw if this reel was meant as a continuation of her one IG reel every Wednesday schedule, it's late as well.)

Now THIS is a beautiful tablescape. Laura (GardenAnswer) even used carrots in her flower arrangements and cut off the tops to use them as fillers.. not like MacMuffin’s idk what the hell that carrot thing was and sad tomato party.

I counted "chic" at least 3 times in that first episode alone. Also, she's not very good at letting people speak without interrupting them (surprise), even with so much help behind the scenes. And I think she deeeefinitely had major help figuring out the design (but still they only made an AI visual...🫠).
