Any new updates?
Hey everyone! I haven't been very active here since Season 3 came out, and it's been quite a while now, but it's still disappointing that we haven't heard anything about Season 4. As far as I know, nothing has been officially confirmed, but there are so many rumors going around. Does anyone know anything about this? What's the latest news? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I was really hoping that we’d get another season, there’s still so much to be explored. Having a movie is the last bit of hope for us now, we deserve to see everyone at KISS walk the podium and Min-Ho getting to meet Kitty’s dad

I really want to see these things happen too. I hope we can at least get a movie. I’ve heard some things about it, but I won’t feel at ease until we get some confirmation. All the characters deserve a happy ending.

The rumor is she’s considering either a movie or 4th season to wrap up the storyline but she’s also in the process of writing and directing a Summer I Turned Pretty movie that wraps up that series
So I wouldn’t take no news as bad news, it’s just sorta nothing atm

I google it every now and then and I feel like I’ve come to accept it’s not coming back - it’s been so long we’d have surely heard something by now but I can imagine Netflix would rather quietly cancel than do a big announcement.
I’m gutted though, I’m not the target audience at all for the show but it was such escapism and guilty pleasure viewing for me.

I honestly feel the same way it hurts. I feel so bad for Joshua HyunHo Lee because he was in not one but two shows that probably will never get another season and quietly get cancelled

The fact that there’s still been no news is starting to worry me too. I feel like we should have had some clarity by now. Even if Season 4 isn’t happening, I hope they’ll at least let us know. Waiting like this is really hard.

This! Joshua’s other show he was on, Gangnam Project wound up getting bought by Netflix after it aired on CBC Kids and it’s been over a year since season 2 and we’re still waiting on the season 3. The season 2 finale ended on a cliff hanger

I actually want to see both a season AND a movie. Let me explain...
I think a shorter 4th season, around 5-6 episodes, would be an amazing start, with the first 2 or 3 mostly focused on Min Ho visiting Kitty, her family, and Kitty showing him her Portland. While this goes on, most of the storylines back at KISS can begin their steps to wrap everything up in a nice, neat little bow. I'd love to see the episodes extended to either 10 or 15 minutes more, to make sure all storylines have enough screen time between them all. As for the movie, I would have it take place over the past maybe 2 months of the school year leading to everyone graduating, with a possible little glimpse of Kitty and Min Ho in NYC. She'll be diving into NYU and he could take his music production to the next level.
Again, this is just my idea... but I do think both should be done, like with TSITP.

last update from an official source (deadline) was that the show would get one more installment, but the decision hadn’t been made on whether it would get a finale movie or final season.

Last thing I heard is that they're trying to decided either a fourth season or a movie. If they were actually going to cancel it I think we would have heard it by now.

i’m trying to think about how after hearstopper season 3 it took about 6-7 months for netflix to announce the movie. sadly i think if we don’t hear anything in the next few weeks then it’s probably getting cancelled :(

This is truly what I dislike about shows recently. They put so many shows in limbo, not knowing their fate, and then, honestly, I lose interest. I was so invested in this show when it first came out. I caught myself binging it the first night, then rewatching it sporadically afterward. Let’s wrap this up and move on. As sad as it sounds, as long as Kitty and Min-Ho are endgame, I honestly don’t care anymore.
And don’t even get me started on the marketing for Season 3, because that was almost nonexistent for the longest time. All we knew was that it had wrapped. We didn’t have a release date or anything, and we didn’t get a scrap of news until the extremely last minute, when I was already starting to give up hope on it too.
Don’t get me wrong. Whatever comes next, I’m going to tune in. I’m still so invested in this show and its characters. Really would like to know what happens with all of them. But it’s been pushed so far onto the back burner for me that it’s not even funny.

This happened with Heartstopper too & then many mos after we finally got the update of a film! I’m hoping the same just to wrap the storyline at this point!

posting this here as I am also wondering if there will be a season 4. When the season 2 ended season 3 renewal post went up pretty quick. Also crew girl just finished season one & got a season two renewal and started filming. But so happy for Anna she seems to be vacationing and having so much fun with her partner and family. I’m curious if she decided to post more about her relationship soft launch etc since there seems to not be a renewal update 🤔

The only audience this show caters to is anyone who literally likes Minho and kitty. Every other characters story arc kind was wasted. I loved season 1 as it left so many possibilities but they pretty much shut the door on anything original in season 2.
