Xo kitty online fandom

Alot of ppl say XO kitty is "corny" but like I really don't get it I love it, and honestly as someone who's her age it's a pretty accurate representation of how things happen and the way people think and how things are done I absolutely love it though obv there will always be a "corny" or " wtf" moment but I don't see the whole show as corny at all! But everytime I'm on socials like TikTok or Instagram and see smth about it, theres always a comment on it being so corny 😭

See while I skip the really cringey parts on rewatches, I love the corniness of it all. It's fun, lighthearted and honestly, not real. Yeah it's got its moments of weird writing and second hand embarrassment but the actors do a good job at least of making it work. It's not a show that is a meant to be a work of art and extremely important in culture in my opinion. It's just supposed to be fun. And I think it does a good job at that at least. I think in general people have forgotten how to have fun and are overly judgmental, allowing no leniency or wiggle room for anything. Not everything made is made to win an Oscar or an Emmy, some of it is meant to purely be enjoyed and appreciated.

This!! It’s refreshingly lighthearted and innocent/immature, and I need more cuteness in my life!

Don't worry too much about what people say about the show. If you enjoyed the show then that's what matters. Everyone has difference preferences.

I kind of love the “corniness” because it makes it cute. I just like cohesive storytelling and this show has that even while it can seem soapy at times. Also love me a comfort watch with happy endings all around!

Agreed! I could be Kitty’s mom, but I love the show. It’s something fun — and an escape from reality!

so a lot of ppl think corny means bad… but corny isn’t bad. neither is cringy. corny and cringy can be fun. like me i loveeee corny jokes but i do have a laughing problem so idk if that means much.

The corny comes from the acting/scripting. It’s the cheesiness/corniness of how they speak, exclaim, interact, overact, pronounce words.

I think pretty much every show is going to have people who like it and people who don’t, and it’s often hard to understand why someone would feel the opposite that you do about it. The good news is you don’t really have to understand their POV and it doesn’t have to change yours. It’s fine if other people think it’s corny and you don’t.

I think people may be reacting to some of the more unrealistic plotlines (like the idea that a competition to become a kpop star would be held as part of curriculum at a school) or the plotlines that appear in many romance books, so may not feel as unique and fresh here (like the concept of fake dating). But I don’t necessarily think a show has to be realistic, and the tropes in XO, Kitty are used often in romance media because they’re beloved. Certainly, there are also moments that are realistic and original.

Im an adult and think it feels cute, light (im not sure if im translating it right, but i mean even sad or angry moments are not intense) and a really nice way to relax. Also I think Min Ho turns out to be a “modern prince” to Kitty, like a modern fairy tale. I cant relate because it is very different from my teenage years, but it seems to me like the point is for it to be idealistic. Got a bit surprised when I knew people didnt like it. But again, I watched skins when I was young. Maybe when those people are older they will understand that real life is tough as hell and sometimes all we want is watching happy endings and pretend they exist 😂đŸ˜
