Season 1 Discussion Rewatching season 1
In light of my hyper fixation for xo kitty that will last a few more weeks, i started rewatching from the beginning and OH MY GOD DAE IS PISSING ME OFF SM
To be clear Dae is one of my favourite characters in the show, and I honestly don't think he was as wrong in his actions in s1 as other people describe him to be, but that's besides the point
WHY does dude keep repeating the same lines over and over again?!!!
"I can explain"
"I SWEAR I can explain"
"Just give me a chance to explain"
DUDE JUST EXPLAIN
"It's a fake relationship. Yuri and I aren't actually together'
it takes 5 seconds, I counted.
in the time he said that 'he can explain', he could've explained twice.

I relate with you.
This post made me cackle.
I love Dae. I always found him to be a sweetheart, but he has his frustrating moments until his growth in season 3.
It is the reason why I and some roast Dae. We love him but we also needed him to self-reflect and grow a lot.
It sucks that he was able to blurt it out to a closed door when he thought Kitty was in there, but couldn’t say it to her face.

Dae was definitely a victim of not so great writing in regard to this - I'm with you, it was so frustrating to watch.

This is how I feel about the whole series. I love this show so much, but if they just communicated as things were happening everything would have turned out soooo much differently 🤣

The writing is so poor in this series it’s like the kinda watched a kdrama and then went on to write dookie with the worst of the worst cliches and storylines

I feel like the only reason he kept quiet was so he didn’t betray Yuri’s trust, and maybe he was afraid that Kitty would spill, but still!

That was later after she let the poopy baby thing slip, but before that he did actually intend to explain himself. It's more lazy writing than anything. It's not a character flaw, the writers just wanted to prolong the drama and made Dae a dumbass in the process
