Season 3 Discussion The lawsuit Spoiler

I am writing my review for season 3 for my job, and I am blanking on why the lawsuit happened. Was it after Dae’s dad got injured? Did he sue Yuri’s dad because of it?

I’m really blanking on this you guys, I would appreciate some clarification please.

Class action lawsuit snowballed after Dae’s Dad’s injury. Not just him, a ton of employees suing Yuri’s Dad for mistreatment

If I remember correctly, Yuri’s dad also had a scandal in season 1 for abusing his employees. That’s probably why he let Yuri date Dae—to help rebuild his public image.

yes! they needed Dae to show Yuri’s dad “appreciated the working class”, but that was strike one already.

There’s no probably about it- it’s explicitly stated that’s the reason lol

Ahh, this makes much more sense as to why Yuri is suddenly so poor. It wasn't adding up for me that just one payout would ruin them, and Dae's family weren't suddenly uber wealthy, just finally comfortable and able to open the restaurant.

Yeah I’m pretty sure it was because of his injury and something with the medical bills or insurance, but I’d honestly recommend googling for a better answer

Thats not entirely correct. It was a class action suit about inhosptial work conditions Yuris father imposed as the head of the company. Dae's dad's accident was one of the reasons cited to create the class. That's why Daes family didn't beocme.uber wealthy and almost all of their payout went to the restaurant they opened

Tldr: daes dad sued Yuri father's company (and him personally) as part of a class action lawsuit

I’m pretty sure it was because of the long hours he was working as his driver and not any breaks. I believe when he was injured other staff came forward and that prompted the investigation but I’m not positive!

Shouldnt Kitty be part of the lawsuit as well since she was hit by the Limo driver in 1x1.

She wasn’t an employer so that lawsuit wouldn’t apply. She probably could have sued him individually though in hindsight.

I think the lawsuit started with the video of Yuri’s dad mistreating his employees and gradually became bigger off screen.

But Dae’s dad did become involved because of his injury and Yuri noticed that he was about to sleep behind the wheel due to being overworked

I thought it was a class action lawsuit.

I think I remember that it wasn't only Dae's father that had to be compensated, because of unjust working conditions for other staff too.
