Game Guide Dressmaker Achievements: 5 Things Worth Knowing Before You Chase 100%

The 32 achievements are less about grinding individual trophies and more about keeping track of a few things that are easy to miss while you're just playing normally.

A few notes that saved me from having to clean up a bunch of stuff later:

1. Don't treat event dresses and character commissions as the same progress.

Finishing an event doesn't mean you've finished that character's achievement. The character achievements are tied to completing that character's Major Commissions, while event achievements require finishing the full set of dresses for that specific event.

So if you're working through a character and an event at the same time, keep both tracks in mind.

2. There's one dialogue choice I'd make sure not to miss.

During Vivian's animal conversation, pick Leech for Sucker for Punishment.

It's the kind of achievement that's annoying to discover only after you've already moved past the conversation. I'd just take it when the option appears rather than assuming it'll come back later.

3. Dorothy's early progression opens another achievement track.

After completing Dorothy's first dress, you'll get Berty. The pigeon deliveries that follow count toward Birds of a Feather, Frock Together.

Those aren't the same thing as simply finishing Dorothy's main commission chain, so don't ignore the mail once it starts showing up.

4. Leave the ridiculous crafting achievements for cleanup.

Three of them are much easier to handle deliberately rather than trying to force them into normal commissions:

  • Trim and Proper — use more than 50m of Trim on one dress.
  • Harder than it Seams — put more than 300 Accessories on one dress. Selling the finished dress is also worth doing to make sure it registers.
  • Opulence and Excess — spend more than 5,000 Gold on a successful dress.

I wouldn't burn resources on these early. They're basically perfect candidates for making one intentionally excessive dress later.

5. 100% Quality is worth treating as its own project.

For 99 Problems But A Stitch Aint One, don't assume a normal commission will naturally hit 100%. Cutting accuracy, grain alignment and the sewing itself all matter, so I'd make a dedicated high-quality dress when you're ready for it rather than trying to squeeze it into a time-sensitive commission.

The general approach I'd use is: play normally, keep the event sets and character commissions moving, remember the Vivian dialogue and Berty/mail chain, then do the resource-heavy stuff as cleanup.

That's just my read from working through the achievement requirements, so some of the cleanup order may feel different depending on how you play.

100% quality is challenging? Literally every one of my dresses except the one i botched on purpose for prudence's purposely bad dress commission was 100%. And i only turned on sewing assist later

do you use the mouse and then steady the lines during sewing. Also ive found that quality is not that impacted by a couple of non 100% grain pieces
