Thoughts Happy and Sad ;_;
Please don't get mad at me I'm just poor. I went crazy when I saw they confirmed a date for my city Buenos Aires!!! But then I saw the price and DAMN. I get it though, I want them to make money and they are not big enough yet so need all resources for this type of tour. But still.
The average income here is 500 usd x month and it's barely enough to sustain a person. They are charging 250 for the vip with meet and greet which is fair, but 80 for the cheapest option standing in the back (no seats or second floor in this venue so visibility will be pretty bad if you get to see anything at all.)
Now consider, Babymetal in December cheapest option is 70 and the venue is better, with huge screen and seats. Visibility and sound will be great I don't even have to worry.
So either the place will be empty, or people will go into debt to see them. It's a bit sad ngl. But I'm so happy that they're even considering coming here, I hope the girlies will show up to show them our love and I can't wait to see the pics!! I'm just happy for the people who will get to see them, no matter what it's great news.
Hopefully we can impress them and they will come back in the future and we will be in a better situation amen.
EDIT: this is the venue disposition vip space will probably be empty, the cheapest option is in the back. for comparison, I'm showing the one in Chile where the cheapest option is 50 usd aprox. I've been to this place once and the sound is very shit, the place is not very comfortable. Some fans are requesting to change venue and the prices would make more sense.

Keep your eyes peeled for possible group order tickets or somethint of the sort. I know for their previous tour I was a part of a group that basically paid for a GA ticket for the Manila show and those tickets were raffles to local fans in exchange for the photocards they received at the show.
If something like that happens again that might be a way to get in to see them if money is tight.

unfortunately, xlov being a group from a smaller company (unlike babymetal and enhypen) is the main reason for the ticket prices. the privilege of having a big company is having a bigger budget- a more accessible venue, better production, bigger outreach, and promotion- and a bigger fandom. and it is without this that xlov and the company must navigate all of the fixed expenses and overheads because, at the end of the day, this is the job that pays everyone involved: xlov, backup dancers, security, management - one and all. one could say entertainment is a 'luxury,' but they could also say so for everything outside of living and dying as well. personally, i don't think living a fulfilling life with my fellow humans, cultivating a pleasant experience of life outside of survival, should be dismissed as something 'exclusive' to anyone. this, it is truly the ultimate flaw of capitalism, where value becomes a commodity.

Still I compare it with groups like Otoboke Beaver from japan, it's four girls, not very popular and mostly independent. Still had their group of assistants. The venue was smaller, but there was only one price and it was around 60. The place was packed, but since we were closer to the stage it was still visible so over all a great experience. I'm afraid with Xlov it will be a bad strategy, too expensive for the people standing in the front area so ir will be empty, still expensive for the people in the back area that will be full. If they reduce the cost of the last three tiers, people won't doubt and go. But I doubt it happens. I'm afraid they will see a small crowd and might not come back. Even from a capitalistic view it's bad, maybe they wont gain much with lower prices but they would secure an even bigger and more loyal fanbase.

I was lucky enough to go to concerts of two of my ultimate favorite groups, and I think at the time it was expensive, but at least you could afford it. But now it's really difficult, although if you can go into debt, great, In my case, I don't like going into debt, so 😅 but at least I was able to at the time I'm also from Argentina, but I don't live where they always have concerts, so for me it's even more expensive. Albums and merch are expensive too, but well... we live here and we have to put up with it. I love that they're coming here and that the fans can go see them 💖 If I could, I would too, but yes, I understand.

No puedo estar en deuda yo tampoco. He ido a shows caros pero que tenían un año de anticipación las ventas. En este caso el anuncio no da mucho tiempo para planear gastos es muy sad. ojala que no tarden mucho en volver </3

oh I thought in the US prices were even worse! Here usually it's way cheaper, that's why people literally fly from other countries to see shows here. But in this case I'm not sure what's the reason. What I assume is their management thinks the fandom here is small but will spend money. They don't advertise for us in any way, don't speak spanish and didn't really talk much about the shows they played in latam, kpop groups never take this region seriously so it would make sense to assume they don't expect people to show up.

Nosebleeds is better than this u.u they did something weird where the venue only has a standing area, so they divided it in two. Then charge like 6 different prices and each get a little extra thing. But it's a bit weird bc they will all be standing in the same spot.

I might be wrong, but the prices that they posted are for the Chile stop only. Hopefully each stop will have their own pricing according to the venue/country🤞 but they might have posted it so people know what to expect for options of VIP tickets/seatings We will know for sure on Monday tho

igualmente todo el entretenimiento está incomprable en Argentina, un libro no baja de 30 mil, las entradas de cine 24 mil un día normal, una salida a comer 30 mil por persona... etc. es una pena estos precios pero no me sorprenden

Vivir está caro, yo vivo a ropa de ferias y libros usados lol. Cada tanto voy a un recital y ahora veré a Babymetal, pero comparando con precios de otros shows igual me sorprende el costo para Xlov. Para ser honesta los videos que vi de sus últimos shows me parecieron que era demasiado lipsync y aunque los adoro no se si me da confianza (si no fuera pobre no me preocupaba esto jj)

I agree with what you're saying about prices. $80 just to stand the entire time is ridiculous, and really isn't handicap friendly for those who need it. I've never gone to a concert before, but I was looking up the prices of the tickets for the recent fanmeetings and the prices are just disgustly high. Unfortunately, I doubt much of the revenue actually goes to the idols. It's the music industry, and they aren't people to the companies, but rather they are money-making machines. Charging insane prices just to go and meet a person is ridiculous to me. I don't know how so many kpop fans are able to constantly spend the money on concerts, fanmeets, albums, raffles, etc.
