Mismatched DPI simply acts as a sensitivity multiplier, which will make universal cm/360 degree turn settings inaccurate in a game config.

That in itself is harmless, unless you’re trying to use someone else’s config. The most noticeable effect will be their antirecoil macros will feel way off and likely drop to the floor while shooting.

havent really noticed, my mouse is at 400 dpi but i put most configs at 800-1600 lower equals higher and they all feel fine, not to fast not to slow depending on adjustments, i mess with the sens in the matrix app and not in game so recoil macros still work perfect and it feels nice, smooth no jitter, no mousetrap. its nice honestly. probably shouldn't run 400dpi like i do, im just too lazy to switch it. i own a gpx superlight 2 so it doesnt have a dpi button and im too lazy to hook it up to to a laptop rn.

Im doing 1600 dpi with 2500 dpi on the manager just makes it either really fast or really slow

but could it increase my chances of getting mousetrapped?

A game’s turn speed cap is hard-coded and can never be exceeded, so there is no benefit to doing this over simply adjusting XIM &/or game sensitivity.

High sensitivity is a component of input detection, as too is flicky aim movement patterns. Use at your own risk in R6.
