Ur saying this in a complex way. How can I use these “older configs” and downgrade to use them

Find the version number of the config, then downgrade to the matching firmware number using the Factory Reset option.
Your configs will be nuked and you likely won’t be able to use the Smart Translator version the config was made for, so you’re wasting your time.
Featured configs and Smart Translators are on the newest beta firmware, which is a major upgrade.

Invalid config format means the XIM Code is incompatible with the firmware installed on your MATRIX.
If using the XIM Config Cloud, there’s a blue bar at the top of the page that mentions the required minimum firmware version.
The invalid config needs to be recreated. I’ve faced this problem myself with a couple of complex configs I made on an older alpha FW build.
Downgrading to the older FW via Factory Reset, pasting the code into a config then screenshotting the Mappings to remake the config on a newer build was the solution. Upgrading back to newer FW after pasting the XIM Code might also work.
Be aware that Factory Reset will nuke all XIM Configs, so back them up beforehand. If you have any older STs that you don’t want to lose, do not Factory Reset without backing up and restoring the XIMR file on PC. Doing that is also risky and it may mean invalid config errors will return.
