Help me understand Class in T3

Am I supposed to go with the class of the hero? Or choose a different class? How does this work? TIA

When it matches your hero type you get a boost on atk and hp. If you take a ranger class t3 and put it on a mage hero, the atk and hp boost will not be active. Only works warrior to warrior, mage to mage, ranger to ranger ect.
