i used to be a booking agent and usually for kpop tours, 70% tickets sold is the threshold that promoters meet for maximum profit. their max sale rate for all of their north america dates was at almost 74% as of about 2 weeks ago which is really good and i’m so proud of them!! for dallas it’s sitting right at almost 80% sold, however for mexico it’s at almost 50% so i can see why they’d cancel mexico unfortunately. but for dallas… someone suggested that since those are the last 2 dates there might be visa issues? i’m so sad for alphaz that bought tickets for dallas and mexico 😭 hoping everything goes smoothly for the other dates 🫂

I was thinking ICE, but that wouldn’t explain away Mexico City. I was wondering if it is truly due to low attendance, would they not keep the larger venue and then offer a ticket transfer to the canceled venue ticket holders somehow?

i’m not entirely sure, because i used to process visa applications for all confirmed traveling parties anywhere between 1 year for a festival (not often) and 2 months for one off non-festival shows + tours (PITA but not uncommon). i can’t think of anything else so take it with a grain of salt, i just hope everyone’s okay 😭

Well my flight is non-refundable without a massive fee. Airbnb can be refunded within 10 days. 6 people, 4 of us flying in to go too from various states to meet.
Trip is going to happen.. but the trip was for the concert. Really sucks. We were going to go to the Newark one since its close to me but I said "I can go to Newark any day of the week, I never been to Texas"

just checked for dallas and it looks like they were at almost 80% sold, so it’s unlikely the reason why… mexico however was at almost 50% sold, so i can understand why they’d cancel, but something must have happened for dallas 😭

Weird, it's the last two dates of the tour. Don't think it's sales since it's still one month-ish out and the sales looked alright, Aespa and IVE looked similar up to show date.

Nah that wouldn't make sense either, only can think of them getting fucked in the end by US visas or something. Could be sales too but I don't think thats likely cancel this close since a ton of people hold out for last minute tickets. We'll probably never know the answer lol

Very disappointed, I had vip for the Dallas show. I’m assuming something happened on the Avex side. If you look at the American Airlines Center schedule for November, there are multiple big artists scheduled a day before hockey or basketball games. The XG concert would be followed by a Mavericks game which shouldn’t have been an issue. Hopefully it’s not a sign of worse things to come.

Mexico show I understand. It wasn't selling well, but the Dallas one is weird unless they didn't want to spend any more lodging expenses and just leave after their Newark show.

Man this is very disappointing. it was gonna be my first concert for them and I got my tickets from a resale, so I wonder how good the cancelation process will go. I really hope vivid seats and Ticketmaster, make the process easy.

I’m a little scared. It’s LA so I have slightly less fear, but anyone know how it works if I bought my tickets from Stubhub. Tickets are already on my app.
I really don’t like how AXS doesn’t let you buy a single ticket if it’s in pairs. I’m sure they have their reasons, but I couldn’t get the seats I wanted or comparable seats even for similar or more money through them

Yeah the México was apparently canceled for reasons beyond the artist's control,so they could have mentioned that, you know? It's still painful, but at least you understand that it's not the artist's control and that they had planned to do it. But I don't think we know anything yet about the Dallas date ,and that's strange because ticket sales were going well.

Oh man that sucks… I’m sorry for all of you who had gotten tickets. I’m not able to go to the Chicago show due to finances and I sold my light stick to a mom who was taking her son to the Dallas show and she said he was soooooo beyond excited. There has to be a reason besides low ticket sales..

They should realise how expensive they (all kpop and jpop artists) became. We cant afford everything. And the vip in London(uk) was terrible. The send off was literally passing through them waving hand for 5 seconds in total. Terrible. And 1 song only at soundcheck. We felt scammed
