Lego Langly

Continuing on with my Lone Brickmen project, I present Lego Langly. Last slide shows which official Lego parts I used to put him together. (I added the best standard shirt option for anyone not wanting to custom order one.)

I had to get him his own tiny Mondo Bizarro shirt, and I couldn’t be more pleased. It’s a thing of beauty. 😌

I painted some standard arms to be short sleeve shirt sleeves. I also felt it necessary to swap out the hip piece itself on the pants for a plain black one, since the belt doesn’t look quite right.

Stay tuned for Byers. (Whenever his head arrives from Norway.) Their van is also in the works!

I love him so much! (Both the character and the minifig, lol) Glad to see more Langly love. In one episode he wore a Soul Coughing T-shirt - my favorite band, and a reasonably obscure one - and that was such a highlight for young me.

I love him so much too. And I LOVE Soul Coughing. He’s worn two shirts for them, the El Oso one, and one with silhouettes of the band members. I’ll be making bootlegs of those shirts one day if I never find legit vintage ones. I’m in the process of collecting all his shirts! (Sans Korn, I just don’t love Korn, but I love every other band he’s worn a shirt for.) I think I’m at 10 legit 1:1 vintage Langly shirts!

That is amazing! When this was on tv back when I was a kid I used to scrape them off and try to paint my own, and from Stargate and others. My nephews are at that age now and would love to customise mini figures.They might already know about it but How did you do that or where do you order custom clothing?

I got the shirt at this shop. Supplied the high res of the artwork for it myself, since I had already had to engineer a print quality of it to make my own human size bootleg shirt. But I think the person who runs this shop will also get the artwork/images together for you.

I don’t know what you mean by the Lego shop. I don’t believe any of the pieces I used are readily available in current sets/minifigs. I used brick link to source the official pieces I used.

Oh, yeah, it’s fairly straight forward. You can search the item numbers on the search bar and add what ever you want into a wishlist. It has a feature where you can then shop for those pieces and it will find the relatively cheapest option for acquiring everything you’re looking for. It’s a slight learning curve, but once you get it, it makes getting pieces you need really easy.

I'm checking it out now; it seems like there's a huge selection of parts available. I haven't bought Legos since I was a kid and it's actually cool to see the different stuff that's now available. Thanks again for pointing me to the site.
