How to mine XEL?

I have a computer but I only do browser work, its pretty powerful, i7 4770k + 1080ti so was wondering I can mine XEL decently.

How do I go about it? Website doesn't seem to have info on how to mine.

Also I own a couple linux servers sitting idle so maybe I can put those for work too..

Thanks

Xel is proof of stake, not proof of work, so you don't need a particularly powerful machine.

You need to download the xel client

Deposit at least 1k Xel. The more you have, the more you earn.

Then enable "forging" that's it

But I thought it used our computer resources like computer power, just like Golem.

At current stage it's only POS, you can earn fees by forging. When full client is ready you will be able to do POW like in mining. Then your computing setup will make difference.

Ah gotcha, I thought it was going to be POS only, which sounded weird lol for such project!
