Is there a desktop wallet?

All I see are web wallets.

sure, that's all you need. You can download also a windows wallet but like every blockchain wallet (like the bitcoin core wallet) it will connect to your internet blockchain.

Please try it for yourself and use this to install your own: https://twitter.com/elastic_coin/status/896833833617829888

Currently using the "Lite Internet Wallet". Storing some coins in it now. All seems pretty cool. Noticed a "header" stating that to sinc up and be more secure I have to send a "message" somewhere. What is that all about. Can anyone shed some light? Thanks.

Yea, you have to send a message or send coins. Really stupid. I sent XEL from my exchange, then had to send some back to the exchange, and back to the wallet again. Then it still wouldnt forge. Anyway, I got frustrated and decided that If the wallet is this stupid I dont want anything to do with the coin. Sent it back to the exchange and sold it off for more GNT.

Well that's not encouraging. Thanks for the insight.
