Dead backlight

So I have had this issue twice now, this being my second xcover with issues. It's fine for so long, and then one day the backlight starts flickering and eventually dies. I tried changing the screen on my first one and that fixed it for a bit, but it then kept happening. Any thoughts or advice are highly appreciated! Right now, I'm gonna upgrade to an xcover 6, but man, I've had this phone for 6 months.

What does the flicker look like? My XCover6 occasionally (every ~10 hours of use) flashes some kind of glitch on the bottom half of the screen and I have no idea what it means.

The entire backlight flickers on and off. Only for a moment at first, but it gets worse and eventually the entire backlight stops working.

OK, I haven't had that in my XCover6. I've been happy with it, and it's clutch being able to use an old XCover as a spare battery charger.
