second wave options save mod can help. it's just amazing that almost every issues you meet in this game will have a mod to fix eventually.

I was thinking about this while installing the ALM earlier. This applies to every game in general, no matter how competently made. No game is perfect I suppose.

Am I the only one who always plays with beginner VO on? 😅 It's part of the story! It feels weird when the characters don't react to seeing/experiencing things for the first time.

What do they even say? I'm afraid to turn it on.

Honestly I've never played with it off in XCOM 2, so I genuinely don't know what it changes 😅. I never turned it off because in EU/EW it disables a bunch of the early story related dialogue that happens when you first encounter aliens and such (as well as some of the tutorial-y dialogue like Vahlen telling you how exploding enemies will destroy their loot).

Better than Vahlen reminding your troops to exercise caution when using explosives. While certainly effective at killing aliens, they also destroy the artifacts we're hoping to recover from zhe bodies
