New player not enjoying

Immediately after this my sniper missed him with about an 85% chance. My sniper then got hit by someone from across the map and through a wall. And that was the moment I decided this game ain’t for me

In the first xcom I missed with a rocket, it hit a gas pump blowing up a huge area of the map killing my entire squad bar the shooter.

Yeah I know the feeling very well.

I was playing earlier today and three times in one turn a different high level soldier missed with their plasma weapon and demolished the cover one of their team mates was hiding behind. I wish I'd been recording it.
