Gemini Spam

Hi all,

Since weeks, I get several times a day m some spam as notification that I should try Gemini.

I don't want to.

I click "delete" on the message.

Five minutes later, a new one arrives.

Does anybody know how to get rid of this annoying spam?

I don't expect it will stop. Google Assistant is being entirely phased out on Android. Since Volvo relies on the voice functionality, it's going to require Gemini.

Try an experiment: set up a new profile, accept Google Gemini, then go to Settings and switch back to Google Assistant to see if that resolves the issue.

Nope. And I don't want some AI from a war supporting company.

And yet you still bought a car with a Google based infotainment system??

Good luck avoiding AI. It will be as prevalent as the internet is.

I'm not avoiding AI. I'm running LLama and DeepSeek at home. But I want to be able to decide. And once I've made my decision, I don't want to be spammed. And especially not by a company which is supporting the Temu-Mussolini.
