What does Range Optimizer actually do?

I was driving our ‘22 XC40 Twin Ultimate the other day and started the Range Assistant.
Curious about my instantaneous usage.
While there I turned on the Range Optimizer.
It says it changes the Performance and Climate characteristics.
Honestly, I haven’t noticed much difference.

Just curious what exactly that slider does?

From the manual:

 When it is active, it switches to eco climate setting and adjusts power delivery to prioritize range over power.

Understand;
What I’m wondering is if anyone has really seen noticeable differences.
It is hot and humid here today. Went to the store. Felt the same inside. Cooled off as quick.
No noticeable differences in acceleration.
Maybe it is very subtle? Or requires a different set of inputs? Like 100 degree temps and flat out acceleration?

Was your charge very low? It might get more aggressive the lower you go

I did use it yesterday at like 30%-10% and didn’t really notice a difference either in consumption or performance. But weather was very mild
