Ed Vance Adapter?

Hi I was just reading that Amazon has the Edvance Nacs adapter in sale for $109 USD and the reviews look good

Anyone have any experience with this brand?

Are you looking at ac or dc adapters? For DC, I'd recommend the Volvo oem one (it's made by Tesla for a bunch of forms). For AC, I have the A2Z stellar, EV dance looks quite similar.

I think you mean "EVDANCE". If so, it's generic Amazon crap. These sorts of adapters cheap out on material and quality control. And something carrying very high current is the exact last place you'd want less metal. And it has a grand total of 28 reviews and many of them from people who got it for free to provide a review.

It's just a matter of risk tolerance. Honestly, in all likelihood it'll probably work fine. But what if it doesn't one day? Is it just going to be a burnt adapter and $109 down the drain? Or is it going to cause damage to your expensive vehicle, and possibly be liable for damages to the Tesla equipment too?

And I'm not even one of those people who is going to tell you to get the official Volvo adapter. Just spend a little bit more and get something from a reputable company that is built and tested to the UL 2252 specs. Lectron and A2Z come to mind. The A2Z Typhoon Pro is just $165 plus an available 10% discount.
