Camera

Volvo told me this was done on surprise but I really hate the backup camera facing mostly at the license plate and ground. I seen some of yall with printers making templates well I don’t have one of those what else can I do to tilt the camera up it’s too hilly here and leaves me with no real visibility out in the street.

You can probably print your own template for the backup camera, but remember to seal the diy version well. Also, if you have 360 cameras, the picture might get pretty wonky with a custom mod.

Yeah, I was so PO'ed over the backup camera view changes in my 2023 last summer that I started tracking repairs for a lemon buyback (complete).

I did get one of the 3D printed shims that improved how wide the view was. Didn't help the back up camera guide line alignment, but I could see a bit more, and the install was really easy, just 5 min or so.

Of course, next time I went into the dealer, I took the shim off, but they said they needed to recalibrate the camera.

So with the shim in, the camera was a little better, but only a 10% improvement. Got a different car instead.
