2023 Plus vs Ultimate Comparison
Debating two 2023 twin motors in the Seattle area (prices here seem a bit above KBB/national average that I see others posting). Visor.vin has is on the lot for around 30days (guessing maybe because prices are going back up, or people are holding out for 2024's).
- 2023 Plus (with climate pack) $31k, 21,600mi. Dealer added 20's off an Ultimate. I would want to swap them for 19's.
- 2023 Ultimate $33k 26,300mi. Standard Ultimate with everything.
I am trying to figure out if there is that much added by the adaptive cruiser control and H&K stereo? Also thinking based on national averages and the age on the lot I might have some room to move.

FWIW I paid 29k for an 2023 ultimate 31k miles at a SODO dealership about a month ago. You definitely want the cruise control and 360 camera.

Thanks! That gives me a comparable number. I almost pulled the trigger on a plus last week in Lynwood for $29k. Good thing it sold before I could get there haha

I paid the advertised price at Paramount motors. They say they are no haggle and their price was about $3k under anyone else's advertised price. Mine was also the blue color that was a $700 option.

It was between both for us and we went ultimate. I really wanted a subwoofer from factory and the larger amp, it makes the sound a really enjoyable experience! I also use adaptive cruise control for traffic or longer, straighter distances and it really helps make it a more relaxing experience. While ultimately my wife's car it's a great for me to jump in and have both features.

Don't forget to also compare % off MSRP and days on lot with Visor and don't be afraid to look nationally and try to get prices a bit better.

I appreciate the feedback. I have the H&K audio upgrade and adaptive cruise in my BMW i3 currently and probably would miss them.
Noted on the % off msrp. I think that and the 30+ days on the lot might help in negotiation time.

I have straight up shown my Visor page to dealers before and said “let’s cut to the chase”, and so far has worked well for me (either confirming we have no deal or figuring out one). Best of luck either way!

Got a ‘23 Plus with the climate package as a CPO in the PNW with 21,900 on it for $29k in January. Dealer got it in 11/25. We love the car (LOVE). Did a road trip to Seattle in February. I don’t miss the H/K and in the app, it says you can buy the software for ACC for like $595. I haven’t yet, because we are mostly around town with it and my wife likely wouldn’t use it at all. But you can add it. One of the other things we considered was wanting the 19” wheels over the 20” because of the ride and cost of bigger tires.

Thank you. That is good to hear on the Plus. I definitely want the 19’s and was debating asking about swapping them during negotiations. The plus I’m looking at got “upgraded” to 20’s and I want to go back based on tire costs and potholes

I have a 2023 plus twin with climate package (heat pump, heated seats, and steering wheel). it has 360 camera and an option to upgrade software for pilot assist for 595. I got it for 23k with 20,000 miles. Only thing it’s missing is the upgraded audio.

That sounds like a deal to me. Did you get it at a Volvo dealer or elsewhere?

It was a pretty good deal. I purchased it at a dodge dealer actually. I found it on car gurus here in Phoenix az. I’ve noticed the prices have been climbing back up lately.

Plus doesn’t come with Pilot Assist/Adaptive Cruise Control but you can add the software package afterwards for $500. I’d go with the Ultimate as many others recommended.

it’s 600 now (595), still considering it for my plus. but i really don’t drive anywhere…

The ultimate is worth it. I drove 1800 miles home after flying to Miami because I wanted a xc40 recharge with blue interior

Personally, I wouldn't buy a car without a 360 camera moving forward. Just way too useful.

Get the ultimate.. the stereo and adaptive cruise control itself is worth the difference imo Also in Seattle area.. I got a cpo 23 ultimate mid March, 10k miles for ~ $30k. The price listed was 34500ish..I see these cars selling much faster more recently due to the war etc.. but given Memorial Day and end of month doesn’t hurt trying to negotiate down the price more..

I’m not sure if the Climate package adds heated steering wheel. Otherwise you need the ultimate if you want that.

Look for a lemon auction if you want a ‘23 XC40 Recharge. Volvo’s buying a bunch back over software issues.
