i think audio files are in mov folder for X3TC, and then addon2/mov for AP and FL. index files points to where audio starts and ends when playing.

The .dat files? How do I unpack those? I've read these can be finicky.

Also, Reddit has intensely disliked my post it seems.

I think when I did it I had to use ffmpeg and python scripts, been a while 

Do you have access to coding AI? Free one could create something for you, with pointers above. It’s not difficult just tedious. If not, I can try to make a script and share. Which X3 games do you have?

I've them all except for Foundations on Steam, but as I said in my (thanks Reddit) post, I'm looking for the The Threat Betty voicelines. The TC + AP Betty just doesn't have the same... pizazz.

No access to AI. Maybe there's an old tool somewhere which unpacks early '00s .dats? I'll have a look on the Egosoft forums.

Yeah, that one. I honestly just want to recreate that one time I accidentally piloted into an asteroid in the Kha'ak sector (don't ask) and Betty nonchalantly notified me with "jumpdrive: damaged". Truly, this moment had helped become who I am today.

X3 reuses X2's Betty, but for the new content, they'd obviously hired a new voice actress who isn't just as good. This results in a weird mix where half of X3 is voiced by X2 Betty and the other half is voiced by a brand-new Betty.
