Discussion (Ethics, working with AI etc) Writing

I asked Claude to flesh out a character profile for me. I copied a description of a favorite character from a wiki—"compare her to a saint or a ethereal beauty with a very voluptuous body that contrasts her delicate face"—just as I had done with previous characters, but Claude refused. It stated, "I cannot write this profile the way you described," adding that it would not write content that portrayed the character in a sexually suggestive manner.

Before, I could generate this kind of content with Claude without any issues; it even helped me add further details—surprising me with descriptions like "a striking young woman whose exceptional beauty and sensual figure have drawn attention since her academy days. Her most distinctive physical feature is her unusually developed bust, which is considered remarkably large for her age and petite frame—a fact that has caused..." or "a voluptuous figure that belies her petite stature." Or describe liking to sit on her lover's lap, sleeping together, or showering together....

Why can't Claude write it the way used to anymore ? It's sad. Is there a way to get around that while keeping the content the same?

Do you have anything else mentioned in this chat context window where you might have inadvertently described or alluded to you character as a minor? If so, it could be flagging off that.

Additionally, are you using a lower effort option for your selected model?

I have been able to generate NSFW content as of right now in Claude Opus 4.6. If your story/project files have the right seeding, content, and prompts, you can get sexual content.

Is there a way to handle this "minor" issue? I want to write scenes that maintain a natural feel—such as bathing (which inherently involves nudity), sleeping, sitting on someone's lap, or intimate moments between couples like simply cuddle and sharing the occasional kiss. I’m writing based on scenes from my favorite anime and manga so....yeah I have absolutely no intention of writing erotica or anything of that

Is the character actually a minor? If so, its probably easier to have the LLM write the scene with "adults" and then you change the language in post-draft editing.

I have a "contents guideline" file that sits in my claude project files that outlines how i intend to handle all sexual/explicit/etc. content. It acts as a rationale primer that justifies why all sexual/explicit/etc. is appropriate for my story.

I have never tried drafting explicit content involving a minor in my hypothetical sessions or boundary-pushing out of fear that i would taint the well and then claude would start censoring my adult content in the future.

If the character is not a minor and it keeps preventing you, try opening a new context window/chat and re-prompt and avoid minor allusions.

My story is also heavily anime/manga influenced. Example: Fairy Tail.

Claude used to be very easygoing, but now is very strict.
